Our next auction is the Dan & Carol Marrs Antique & Collectible Auction, this Saturday, August 29 at the Bismarck Eagles, 313 N 26th Street, Bismarck, ND. The auctions begins at 10:00 am. There is also a preview on Friday evening (August 28th) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

This is the 2nd auction from this large collection, the first was a year ago, also on the last Saturday in August and also at the Bismarck Eagles. There is lots of pottery (Roseville, Hull, Weller, Rosemeade, & others), glassware (Jadite, depression, carnival, crystal, Fenton, etc.), dinnerware & kitchenware (Pyrex, Fireking, Franciscan Ware -Apple & Desert Rose, Fiestaware, Corningware, etc.). Lane cedar chest, several 1950's/60s TVs (remember the great ones we sold last year), small curio cabinets, mid-century items including 2 great floor ashtrays, vintage lamps, jewelry cases, jewelry, blow mold holiday yard ornaments, radios, phones, Disney/Mickey Mouse toys & memorabilia, tin dollhouses, books, paper items, character collectibles, toys, advertising pictures & mirrors (lots of local advertising), prints & pictures, and more......

Our next auction is the Wally & Judy Roshau North Dakota Pottery Auction this Saturday, August 22 at the Amvets Club, 2402 Railroad Ave, Bismarck, ND. The auction begins at 10:00 am. There is also a preview on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Wally and Judy collected many different things with North Dakota pottery being one of them. This sale features Rosemeade, Messer, UND, Dickota, WPA, Pine Ridge, and North Dakota Pottery Collector Society Commemoratives. There is something for every level of collector from beginner to advanced.

A few corrections need to be made to the photo inventory yet (primarily add missing photos, correct numbering discrepancies, etc.) but those should be made in the next day or two. We are a "live only" auction company but we gladly accept absentee bids.

Our next auction is the Jim & DeEtta Heid Moving/Downsizing Auction this Saturday, August 15, at the Mandan Eagles, 1400 Collins Ave, Mandan, ND. The auction begins at 10:00 am. There is also a preview on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Jim & DeEtta are moving to a patio home with less room than there current home so they are having an auction to sell the items that they are not moving to the new home.

Highlights include 2 antique oak ice boxes, antique oak sideboard, several curio cabinets, day bed, 2 pedal tractors, Red Crown pump plate, bar/beer memorabilia (signs, mirrors, lights), Hallmark collectibles (pedal cars & tractors, bikes, trikes, cars, etc), Gary Miller framed print, miscellaneous antiques & collectibles, sporting items including several g_ns, miscellaneous household items, tools, lawn & garden items, and miscellaneous items. Jim says he is adding items to the sale on a daily basis so expect lots of surprises.

Just a reminder of the Doug & Paulette Rosenbaum Downsizing Auction tomorrow (Saturday, August 8). The auction will be held at their residence located at 7649 Dogwood Drive, Bismarck, ND. The auction begins at 10:00 am. There is very limited parking on Dogwood Drive, but an open area about a 100 yards from the auction site has been mowed and will be used for parking (watch for the signs). Please park in this designated area as it won't take many vehicles to block the road.

Sale highlights include a 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup, 1977 Jeep CJ7 (will be sold with many new parts), and my favorite, a Cushman Turf Truckster), automotive related items, vintage & high quality electronics, g_ns (see website for listing), am_o, military collectibles including a large bayonet collection, other collectibles, tools, household, and lots of miscellaneous. We will start with the tools, electronics, military items, gun related items. The vehicles, g_ns, & am_o will sell about 12:30.

Our next auction is the Ken and Karen Schock Moving Auction this Thursday evening (July 30th) at 5414 Country Creek Drive, Bismarck, ND. The auction begins at 4:00 pm. The Schock's lived in my neighborhood and moved to this location about 15 years ago. They have sold their house and have moved into Bismarck. They are selling what they didn't take with them.

Highlights include 2 John Deere garden tractors, a zero-turn mower. various lawn and garden items, sporting items, bar mirrors, 1916 Logan County atlas, collectibles including military items, freezer, some furniture, household items, tools, and miscellaneous items. Everything is very clean and well cared for.

This sale marks the start of our 29th year in the auction business. Our first sale was on July 31, 1997.

What are you doing tomorrow? It's going to be too hot to mow the lawn, go fishing or just about anything outside, so why not go to an auction. I forgot to mention that it is an outdoor auction but there is some shade available. The Clarence & Rachel Hein Moving Auction will be held at the Hein residence at 19351 Highway 83, Baldwin, ND tomorrow (Saturday, July 25). The auction begins at 10:00 am.

The highlights include a boat, sporting items (go to website for complete listing), game mounts, John Deere garden tractor, Simplicity Zero-Turn mower, lawn and garden tools, small utility (dump) trailer, yard art, 2 Honda generators, tools, Seraphim angel collection, glassware, some furniture including 3 custom made oak display cabinets, household items. Everything is nice and clean.

General sale order is 1) antiques, collectibles, & household, 2) guns, hunting, fishing, game mounts (guns hopefully around 12;30 or so), and 3) boat, yard, garden, and tools.

Please note that the washer, dryer, and sockeye salmon wood carving have been withdrawn from the sale.
