“Best of luck with all your big plans.”

This was the last line of an incredibly long email from Brittany’s first broker. After she asked to talk about raising her commission split, he immediately fired her via email and refused to release the 5 listings she had at the time. He then sent email after email harassing and berating her. He threatened her, intimidated her, and bullied her relentlessly.

He told her she would never be successful without him.

Boy. Was. He. Wrong.

Exactly 2 weeks later I got my license, then I started our real estate company, hired our first employee and we were off to the races. That year we closed $14,000,000 in sales and all the pain and heartache that broker caused us became the fuel we used to propel ourselves to the top.

It was February of 2015, and I was completely alone in the Jerusalem Forest. I was trying to figure out my life. Then I saw something that stopped me completely. It was a small red flower sitting alone in a lush green landscape. The Lord spoke to me in that moment. He whispered to me the meaning of life. It changed my whole world. A lot of business owners think they’re overwhelmed because they just have “too much going on.” But sometimes the real issue is that everything depends on them.
