As a pediatric sleep consultant, I actually do understand why parents use tracking apps.

When you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and trying to make sense of your child’s sleep… data can feel reassuring.

Tracking feeds, naps, wake windows, and overnight sleep can absolutely be helpful.

But I also see the other side of it all the time:
😩 Parents becoming anxious when naps aren’t “perfect.”
😩 Obsessing over wake windows.
😩 Feeling like they’re failing if the schedule gets off track.
😩 Analyzing every “wake up” in the night when it’s just their child being human

And that’s where support matters. Healthy sleep isn’t about controlling every minute of your baby’s day.

It’s about understanding your baby, creating rhythms that feel sustainable, responding with confidence instead of fear, and helping the whole family rest better.

The goal of sleep support should never be more pressure.

It should help you feel:
✔ calmer
✔ more confident
✔ more rested
✔ less consumed by tracking and Googling

Sometimes we use data as a TOOL. But we never want it to replace intuition, flexibility, or mental health.

And I’m here to help with a solid plan that truly works. Ready for support? Let’s chat ☎️

Sleep feeling harder than it should? 😵‍💫

I see this all the time. A child who seems wired at bedtime, takes short or inconsistent naps, wakes overnight, or starts the day way too early. It can feel confusing and frustrating, especially when you are doing everything else right.

Here is the thing. On top of independent sleep skills, timing matters more than most people realize.

When both are in place, everything gets easier.

Start here ➡️➡️ Use my Schedule Maker Tool in my bio to find your child’s ideal routine.

Need help teaching independent sleep skills? Send me a message. I have you 🫶

6 months is when sleep can feel like it suddenly falls apart.

But what’s really happening?

Your baby’s sleep is maturing, which means:
👉 They wake more fully between cycles
👉 They notice HOW they fell asleep
👉 They need the same conditions to go back to sleep

If the schedule is off or they rely on help to fall asleep, you’ll see it overnight. Plus, they are now more stimulated by you, so what was working before may now stop working.

The good news? This is one of the BEST ages to improve sleep and I’m here to help!

Daylight Saving Time is coming… which means we “lose” an hour of sleep 😵‍💫

If you have a baby or toddler, you might be wondering, “Is this going to mess up our sleep schedule?”

Good news: it doesn’t have to 🙌

My favorite approach is cold turkey. Start their day Sunday at their “normal time” on the clock (Example: 7am). Follow appropriate awake windows for my 0-6 month olds, and for older infants and toddlers, push through to their appropriate nap times.

Want a slower approach? Comment SPRING for the link to a blog post with all the details.

Every parent starts somewhere.

Some of you are timing wake windows down to the minute.
Some of you are negotiating at 3am.
Some of you are living that car nap life.

And most of you?
You’re just doing your best with the information you have.

Sleep doesn’t improve because you try harder.
It improves when the plan actually matches your child.

Big mom win over here 🛏️
My daughter slept in her big kid bed for the first time last night, and it was such a good reminder of how important independent sleep skills are before making this transition. When kids can fall asleep on their own, moving out of the crib feels a lot less overwhelming and sleep stays consistent.

If you’re getting ready for this change, here’s what helped us:
👏 She was already falling asleep independently
👏 We talked about the bed ahead of time without making it a big deal
👏 She helped choose her bedding so it felt familiar (We chose to stick with her fave sheets and got a full size blanket from them that felt like her toddler ones!)
👏 We kept her schedule and bedtime routine exactly the same
👏 We set clear expectations and stayed consistent
👏 We made sure her room was fully safe since she now has much more freedom to roam about

And yes, we absolutely celebrated in the morning. Big hugs, lots of praise, and a proud moment for her to start the day feeling confident. We don’t use her reward chart for many things, but BIG moments always earn a star ⭐️

The first few nights can still feel big, but a gentle approach, clear boundaries, and strong sleep skills make this transition so much smoother. And if you’re not there yet, I can help. Let’s chat 💬

This one is for parents who built the skills and now hit a bump in the road ⤵️

Your child’s sleep will change.
Over and over again.

Because growth, development, illness, travel, emotions, and life all happen. That doesn’t mean something is wrong. And not every situation is a problem needing to be fixed.

When you work with me, together we’re building lifelong skills and your confidence as a parent. Trust that.

📌 A few things that help when sleep shifts with your independent sleeper:
- Zoom out before you problem-solve. Patterns matter more than one night
- Protect the basics. Schedule, sleep environment, and enough daytime sleep (use all the resources I give you)
- Adjust expectations during growth spurts, sickness, or big changes
- Respond with consistency, not panic
- Remember that skills don’t disappear just because sleep gets bumpy.

Ready for support to build these skills and receive the tools to help your little one stay on track? Let’s chat 💬

Hi, I’m Sarah 👋🏼
A child sleep expert, problem solver, coffee lover, and mom who gets it.

If you’re feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in the “is this just how it’s going to be?” phase, I want you to know you’re not alone. Sleep doesn’t have to be stressful, confusing, or full of second-guessing.

My heart is helping families build healthy sleep in a way that feels supportive, realistic, and kind to everyone in the home. No cry it out. Just guidance, reassurance, and a plan that actually works for your child.

If you’re ready for better nights (and calmer days), I’m always here to help. And if my calendar is full, send me a DM 🫶
