Hello Hope Families!

Hopping on here as a parent trying to reach other parents. At the second town hall meeting the topic came up of teachers pay and whether or not they would receive final paychecks for the time they’ve worked. The answers was “it depends”.

It was believed there was enough in the account but it was dependent on how many parents ask for pro-rated refunds. Additionally, they likely won’t get PTO payouts. All of us parents are understandably frustrated, but the teachers and staff (especially those with kiddos and/or expecting kiddos) are in far worse positions than most of us. If you can afford to not take a pro-rated refund, please don’t! I think the other parents at the meeting would have the same ask.

Also, it was clear during the meeting how much the staff lean on and appreciate Doug. He and Shelbie have been taking the brunt of the blows despite not being involved in decisions that led to this or the final decision to close. Please be kind to them both!

Good afternoon everyone,

Today I recieved an update from Shelby Bruckerhoff. If you attended the townhall meetings you had a chance to hear her hopes to lease hope lutheran, until her facility opens in August.

With much heartache she informed me today this is not a viable option. And has withdrawn her offer. Though encourages staff to seek employment when she is ready to open, and encourages families to join her waitlists.

I am trying to arrange a time she can drop off cards to be in contact with her.

Attention Hope teachers!! Another job oppurtinity!!

Hello Hope family. I am currently looking for a nanny for my infant daughter (Eleanor) from March 1st-May 22nd. The job would be from 7:30-5:00pm Monday-Friday.
I am a teacher so spring break and the summer would be off. We have only been at Hope for a short time but we have really enjoyed our time there.

Hello Hope family. I am looking for a nanny for at least three days a week starting in May after school gets out. I have a newborn, and a soon to be six and four-year-old.
