Though the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training program is a program focused on creating business and leadership success for Highly Sensitive People, we recognize that this is an integrative process for us HSPs. Meaning, it can be extremely challenging, if not impossible, to show up with clarity and confidence in business when your home relationships are a mess.

However, what this does NOT mean is permission to have loose boundaries and to let your personal shizz spill all over your professional life. Actually, it’s the exact opposite: take personal responsibility for containing your personal happenings so you can show up at the highest level professionally.

I learned this early on in my self-employed career because the more out of alignment I was between the two, the less healthy my body was. It showed up in over-exhaustion, over-work, and being overweight. The more I tried to over-protect by keeping it all boxed up, the more I was tanked.

This still happens at times (growth is an upward spiral, don’t you know,) but far, far less than it used to. What’s shortened the curve is exactly what I teach: the power of self-inquiry. Learning this skill is baked into many of the nervous system management tools I teach [https://youtu.be/aHMv2hL4doA?si=IWwn1B7XcXl5Qg6P] because it unlocks the golden key of personal responsibility, giving you quicker access to what needs to change within you so your experiences change for the better. Because, guess what? No one is in charge of your nervous system but you.

If you’re tired of feeling like your sensitivity is working against you, know that there is another way. A complimentary Clarity Call is an opportunity to explore what patterns may be keeping you stuck, how your nervous system may be influencing your business decisions, and what it could look like to create success with more ease, confidence, and alignment as a Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur: https://www.businessmiracles.com

A lot of Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs think they’re stuck because they need a better strategy.

Usually, that’s not actually the issue.

What’s often happening is your nervous system is trying to protect you from something uncomfortable:

➡️ having a difficult conversation
➡️ making a clear decision
➡️ being more visible
➡️ setting a boundary
➡️raising your rates
➡️ letting go of an unaligned client
➡️ or even admitting what you really want

So instead, you overthink. You delay. You research. You stay “busy.”

I know this pattern well, both personally and professionally.

And what changes things is not forcing yourself harder. It’s about learning to take personal responsibility in a way that feels grounded rather than punishing.
That’s where the shift happens.

If you’re tired of feeling stuck in the same patterns, book a complimentary Clarity Call to learn more about the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program: https://www.businessmiracles.com/clarity-call/

As a Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur or Leader, avoidance usually doesn’t look obvious.

It can actually look really productive.

Here are 3 signs I see often:
1️⃣ You keep waiting for clarity before taking action.
2️⃣ You’re spending more time thinking about the problem than taking one small step forward.
3️⃣ You’re focused on what everyone else needs to do differently before you can move ahead.

And listen, this isn’t about beating yourself up.
A lot of this comes from a nervous system that’s trying to protect you from discomfort, disappointment, visibility, conflict, or overwhelm.

But eventually, avoidance becomes its own kind of exhaustion.
One of the most powerful things you can do as an HSE is learn how to stay connected to yourself while still taking aligned action.

Not massive action, not hustle, just honest, sustainable movement.

That’s what creates momentum.

If you want support with this, book a complimentary Clarity Call Session and let’s talk about whether the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program is the right fit for you: https://www.businessmiracles.com/clarity-call/

If you’ve been following along for a while, you know I’ve been managing a challenging health situation for close to a year now. Recently, I shared more deeply about this challenge with an intimate group of HSP Business Miracles members in person at the 2026 Quantum Leap Training (QLT26).

This training focuses on how to truly access the power of “coach” as defined by David Emerald’s Empowerment Triangle. One aspect of “coach,” according to Emerald, is “Coaches view themselves and others as 'creative, resourceful, and whole,' not as broken or powerless victims.” During a final share, I connected this definition to my recent experience with a health challenge.

As I shared with my QLT26 cohort members, when I was first diagnosed, I had a brief meltdown and then, through this meltdown, was able to access the mindset of “this is not my story”. From there, I went into deep due diligence to create my health recovery story using every tool and technique I teach in the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training program. Including my teaching around “The 5D Process”. I consistently asked myself, What Decision needs to be made? What needs to be Delayed? Deleted? Delegated? Or Done Differently?

Taking this personal responsibility approach allowed me to keep my focus, keep my necessary commitments, and to create some incredible health miracles that will be a positive influence on my leadership style for the rest of my living days, which I feel so grateful to actually have.

If you’re recognizing yourself in this story and know you’re ready to stop coping your way through business and life, I invite you to book a complimentary Clarity Call. Together, we’ll identify what’s keeping you stuck, what support your nervous system actually needs, and what it could look like to lead and succeed as a Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur with more ease, clarity, and self-trust: https://www.businessmiracles.com/clarity-call/

One of the biggest shifts that can happen as a Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur is realizing that your power comes back the moment you stop waiting for someone else to change.

Not your clients.
Not your partner.
Not your team.
Not the economy.
Not your circumstances.
You.

And I don’t mean that in a blaming or shaming way at all. I mean it in the most freeing way possible.

Because when you start asking, “What is mine to own here?” instead of “Why is this happening to me?” you stop spinning and start creating movement.
This is a huge part of the work we do inside the Highly Sensitive Leadership Training Program. Learning how to take personal responsibility without collapsing into self-criticism.

That’s where clarity starts to happen.
That’s where momentum starts to happen.
That’s where your nervous system can finally stop fighting with you.

If this resonates, I’d encourage you to book a complimentary Clarity Call Session and learn more about the program: https://www.businessmiracles.com/clarity-call/

I remember attending a training conference years ago and having a moment during a Q&A session that was really familiar to me. A question was asked by the facilitator, and my intuitive body gave me the answer. Then my mind gave me the reasons not to share it. And then I froze, a feeling of analysis-paralysis spreading through my entire being.

So, then what happened (also per usual) is another person spoke up, which unraveled into a whole drama that played out until the facilitator brought the situation around to the exact solution my intuition had initially presented to me. And then (once again per usual) I started to internally beat myself up until suddenly I heard in my head a larger overriding voice that said very clearly, “Do not NOT listen to me again.” It was so clear, so direct, I couldn’t not hear it. I couldn’t not listen.

Next, at that same conference, just hours later, I was faced with an on-the-spot high-pressure decision-making moment and, yup, I re-heard the message, “do not not listen to me again”. So I said, yes.

That moment generated me $10,000.00 on the spot, which then multiplied again and again for years later.

Intuitive Decision-Making is not an easy skill to teach, but it is a teachable skill. Especially for HSPs. And so I do. Every four months, for all HSP members of the Business Miracles community, we engage in a full day of Intuitive Planning™, and then we work that muscle weekly with accountability. And I’m grateful to see so many business miracles unfold for my HSP members because of it.

If you’ve been stuck in overthinking, second-guessing, or waiting for more certainty before making your next move, you’re not alone. Intuitive decision-making is a skill, and it’s one we actively develop inside the Highly Sensitive Leadership Program so HSPs can move forward with more clarity, confidence, and momentum. I’ve been in a season of having more difficult conversations than usual.

With clients. With my team. Even in my personal life.
And what’s interesting is that it’s no longer surprising when they show up. It’s almost expected.

Not because something is wrong, but because something is growing.

For a long time, I associated difficult conversations with conflict, or with the possibility of getting it wrong.
Now I see them differently.

They’re usually a sign that something matters enough to be brought into the open.

That there’s a deeper level of truth, clarity, or alignment trying to come through.

And yes, they can feel activating. Especially for us as highly sensitive people, where there’s a strong awareness of emotional impact.

But avoiding them doesn’t remove that impact. It just redirects it inward.

What I’ve found is that, when approached with intention, these conversations actually create more ease on the other side. More understanding. More clean energy.

They’re not interruptions to the work.
They are the work.

And if you’re finding yourself right on the edge of one of these conversations, that might be a sign you’re stepping into your next level of leadership. Join us in The Highly Sensitive Leadership Program to learn how: https://www.businessmiracles.com/highly-sensitive-leadership-training-program/

Over the past 6+ months, I’ve been managing two big life stressors simultaneously: a major medical situation and buying an apartment in New York City. Because I’ve been doing this work of re-training my own highly sensitive nervous system for over 20 years now and supporting other HSPs to do the same, I realized pretty quickly that any remaining threads of old, unhelpful HSP over-responsible or over-protective behavior were going to need to be cut loose to keep my sanity through this massively intense and challenging time.

One of those threads was how I related to medical professionals and personnel. As a child, I was taught to always be respectful of people in authority. I still believe this as an adult, but not in the same way. In the past, I would defer my sense of agency, confusing this with respect. Now, I advocate for myself in a way that is respectful to others while also respecting myself.

An example from this recent medical situation is realizing early on in the process that a lot of the medical personnel, when talking to me, would not only give me a lot of information all at once (overwhelming to my HSP system), but then add to it by repeating themselves multiple times. After this happened the first time, I said to my husband, this cannot continue, or I’ll never make it through this healing journey. The next time it started to happen I gave a gracious interruption and said, “I’m a highly sensitive person. This is what that means __________ and this is what I need_________”.

It changed everything. Not only because I was able to process the information being shared with me, but also because I felt (and was) more empowered, which, in my opinion, contributed to my cells recalibrating and healing, which I was there for in the first place.

If you’re recognizing yourself in this experience, you’re not alone. Inside the Highly Sensitive Leadership Program, we help HSPs create more impact, income, and ease by learning how to work with their nervous systems instead of against them. I used to think confidence would feel like certainty.

Like one day I would just know: what to say, what to do, what the outcome would be, and then I would act from that place.

That’s not how it unfolded.

What I’ve come to recognize, both in my own experience and in the work I do with highly sensitive entrepreneurs, is that confidence shows up much more quietly.

It looks like taking the next step while still feeling unsure.
It looks like having the conversation, even though you can feel your heart beating a little faster.

It looks like making a decision without having every variable mapped out in advance—and trusting that you’ll respond to whatever comes next.
There’s still feeling. There’s still awareness. There’s still depth.
But there’s also movement.

And over time, that movement becomes something you trust.
Not because it’s always comfortable, but because you’ve experienced yourself navigating what comes after.

If you’re in a season where you’re being asked to trust yourself in this way, it’s not random. It’s part of how confidence is built.

Take control of the season and learn how to harness your energy to make more income and impact with less effort when you join The Highly Sensitive Leadership Program: https://www.businessmiracles.com/highly-sensitive-leadership-training-program/

Your nervous system may not tell you this… but I will.

As a Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur, you’ve probably spent a lot of time believing that if you just had a little more time to think about it, process it, or prepare for it, then you’d finally feel ready to move forward.

But what I’ve learned personally, and what I’ve seen after more than 20 years of working with HSP entrepreneurs and leaders, is that confidence usually doesn’t arrive before the action. It’s built through the action.

Your nervous system is designed to keep you safe, not necessarily to help you grow your business. So when there’s a difficult conversation to have, a decision to make, or a next step that stretches you, it makes sense that your first instinct might be to pause, overthink, or wait for more certainty.

The problem is that the longer you stay in that loop, the heavier everything starts to feel.
What changes things is learning how to recognize the difference between true misalignment and nervous system activation. That’s when you stop delaying decisions you already know you need to make. That’s when your business starts to feel lighter, clearer, and much more sustainable.

This is a huge part of the work we do inside the Highly Sensitive Leadership Program, and it’s one of the reasons our clients are able to create more impact and income with less effort.
