Delegation isn't just about getting something off your plate. It's about creating opportunities.

When you delegate, you're giving someone else the chance to learn, gain confidence, build new skills, and grow in their career. Even if they can't do the task completely on their own yet, there is still value in involving them. Growth happens through experience.

Delegation is a gift to leaders, too. It creates capacity, allows you to focus on higher priorities, and helps prevent burnout.

If you're holding onto every task because it's faster or easier to do it yourself, consider this: Are you simply getting the work done, or are you helping someone else grow?

The best leaders don't just accomplish tasks. They develop people.

Professionalism still matters.

If someone gives you their time, mentorship, advice, or connections, show up prepared. Preparation communicates respect. Curiosity communicates growth. Follow-through communicates character. You do not need to have all the answers to make a strong impression. What stands out is effort, intentionality, and engagement.

A few simple habits that set true professionals apart:

• Arrive prepared with questions or ideas

• Research the person or organization beforehand

• Be engaged and present in the conversation

• Send a thank you afterward

• Follow up on advice or action items discussed

These things may seem small, but they build trust, credibility, and opportunities over time. Professionalism can absolutely be learned and those willing to learn it will stand out quickly.

So much fun digging into Emotional Intelligence with the team at Hope Community Church!

We mixed learning with a little competition by doing a “match the face to the EQ results” activity. They nailed 6 out of 8 correctly. 👏

It was such a great reminder of how well healthy teams really know and understand each other.

Hope Church is my longest-standing client, which made this activity even more meaningful. I know this team so well, and it’s always exciting to keep bringing fresh ideas, new conversations, and interactive learning experiences to a group that is so committed to growth.

Grateful for the trust, the laughs, and the willingness to keep learning together.

Also reflecting on yesterday. I had 3 coaching sessions with clients & found myself back to the basics:

1. Know and use your strengths. Have awareness of your weaknesses. 👍

Women's Summit 4: Things No One Told Us. Wisdom and WTFs from the Frontlines of Womanhood was powerful in all the right ways: real conversations about peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause and the stuff we don’t always say out loud, but need to. 📣🧍‍♀️👱‍♀️👭 👩‍🦽‍➡️🧍‍♀️👩‍🦳👭🧍‍♀️👩‍🦰👭

What stood out most? The room.
An incredible group of women showing up, sharing honestly, and creating a space that felt safe, supportive, and real. 😍

I felt so honored to close out the day by facilitating a conversation on key takeaways and reflections. The insights, the vulnerability, the “ah ha” moments, that’s where growth happens.
