Quality Extrusion is hiring full-time plastic film extruder operators (machine operators) for the day shift and 2nd shift. We manufacture roll stock of polyethylene packaging films used to make garbage bags, postal coverings, custom poly bags, and shrink films. We are a small, locally owned company with 20 employees that has been in business since 1969. No experience is necessary, all training is on the job. The company is seeking positive, self-motivated individuals willing to work hard towards helping the business reach its full potential.

Pay Scale:
$17.00 per hour starting
$18.00 per hour after 1 year
$20.00 per hour after 2 years
$21.00 per hour after 3 years
$22.00 per hour after 5 years
3rd shift pay differential $0.50
2nd pay differential $1.00
Flex shift differential: $1.50 – 7 pm to 3 am - hours may vary
*** Pay raises are subject to change based on performance.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Running blown film plastic extruders – we provide on the job training
- Performing periodic quality checks on the products being produced
- Keeping your work area clean and organized - Cleaning and organizing is required.
- Palletizing product
- Driving forklift
- Preparing work for the next shift.
- Simple Paperwork – must have neat, legible handwriting.
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Helping in other areas or with projects, tasks, cleaning, or any other work that may come up is expected.
Hours:
- 1st shift: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Monday – Friday
- 2nd shift: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. – Monday – Friday
- 3rd shift: 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Sunday night – Thursday night
- Flex Shift: 7 pm to 3 am Monday night – Thursday night
Straight 8 hour shift the includes a ½ hour paid lunch break
Over time, when necessary, is mandatory. This may include coming in early, staying late, Saturdays, and/or Sundays along with the ability to work 12 hours straight.
Benefits:
- All shifts are a straight 8-hour shift(or up to 12 with overtime) that includes a paid ½ hour lunch break.
- Quality Extrusion pays 50% of the employee health insurance after 90 days of hire.
- 1 week vacation and 1 week of sick pay are earned after 6 months. PTO goes to 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of sick time after a year.
- Quality Extrusion awards 9 paid holidays per year.
- Unused sick pay is paid out at the end of the year.
- Shift differential for 2nd, 3rd shift, and flex shifts.
- Overtime is paid out after 40 hours in a week. Vacation time, sick time, and holiday pay all count towards overtime.
