❗️ AGC Next Level Networking Feb 11th, 2026 ❗️

We were lucky enough to learn from the stellar Gabrielle Rohlik who shared how to broaden your network to increase your net worth and work within value teams. 📚

Our feature presenter, Shannon Mitchell owner of Inc Custom Jewelry, shared how she helps clients create custom jewelry for their loved ones as well as some new designs she has releasing soon! 💍

One new thing our group learned from Shannon, is about the idea of a “travel ring.” Shannon often designs custom engagement and wedding rings for clients. She can also design a “travel” version of this ring. The travel-ring is crafted at a lower price than the main ring. Simply swap the rings out before leaving on a trip so you aren’t worried about losing or damaging your main ring!

Our second presenter, Ruth Ebertowski owner of Collective Artistry Hair Studio shared her journey into salon ownership as well as a deeper dive into the types of hair colors she does. 💇‍♀️

Specifically, our members were very interested in hair extensions—where the hair comes from, who it comes from, and if it is “colorable.” The answer being—hair is sourced from many places, it comes from humans who sell or donate their hair that they grew out, and yes! It is colorable, but mostly only to make darker.

It was a great week, how exciting that we get to meet again tomorrow! 🥰

Your 60-second commercial is a positioning moment.

One thing we see work consistently inside AGC Pods is this:
Use your 60 seconds to talk about a recent situation, not your services.

Instead of listing what you do, share:

• A problem you helped solve this week
• Who you helped and why it mattered
• The kind of situation you’d like more of

Example:
“Last week I worked with a business owner who was overwhelmed by X. We helped them do Y so they could Z.”

This gives the room something concrete to listen for, and something specific to refer.

When your commercial sounds like a real moment instead of a summary, people remember it.
And that’s how your 60 seconds turn into conversations after the meeting.

It was a FULL HOUSE last week at AGC Mankato - Next Level Networking!

We welcomed 17+ visitors to our visitor day where we got to learn about their businesses and how we can best help them grow! Thank you to all of our visitors for taking time out of your busy day to enjoy lunch with us!

Natasha Weis presented on her business, Luxe Quarterlies. Chances are, you’ve seen one of the FOUR magazines she owns around town. Because print is not dead, it’s as powerful as ever!

Natasha’s magazines are a great way for local businesses to market their services/products directly to potential clients. Print is tangible, and because print is tangible, it is valuable! When people can hold your advertisement and story in hand, they’re HIGHLY likely to retain, connect, and trust your offerings.

Evans took on the challenge of explaining business banking within 7 minutes! Those 7 minutes were packed with knowledge on the different types of loans businesses take out and why/who those loans could be beneficial for.

Jordon has a wealth of knowledge (haha see what I did there?) in banking and welcomes any and all questions related. As he says, if he has a great option for you, he’ll let you know! If he knows a better option for you else where, he will gladly direct you as needed.

And last, but not least, our education moment was taught by Maureen Gustafson. Maureen spoke on the steps to take after you hand your business card out to maintain connections and build a community around you and your business. She recommends following up with each individual you hand a business card to at networking events. One step further, she recommends inviting your new friends to something. Connecting further builds deeper community and trusting relationships.
