Some projects mean a little more than others. ❤️🐾

A friend recently had to say goodbye to their beloved dog, so I created this engraved portrait as a special gift for the family. Watching that sweet face slowly appear in the wood was incredible, and I hope it keeps their memory close for many years to come.

A little while ago, I shared a timelapse of this large piece of natural slate being engraved—and here is the finished product!

This Virginia-inspired design features the Blue Ridge Mountains, layered scenery, wildlife, and plenty of fine detail permanently engraved into the stone. The natural shape, texture, and coloring of the slate make this a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
