CCDSNB provides services to people who have development and/or related disabilities. Among the services offered are:
ADULT DAY SERVICES:
The intent of CCDSNB Day Services is to provide people who have intellectual disabilities/related disabilities (ID/RD) and Autism the supports needed to meet their needs, pursue possibilities, and achieve their life goals. The following services are offered:

areer Preparation: Prepares participants for the work force through exposure to and experience with various careers. Participants learn such concepts as compliance, attendance, task completion, problem solving, safety, self-determination, and self-advocacy. Services are not job-task oriented, but instead are aimed at a generalized result. Employment Services: Intensive, on-going supports for participants who are likely to become competitively employed without assistance. These individuals, because of their disabilities, need support to perform in a regular work setting. Employment services are conducted in a variety of settings, particularly work sites where persons with disabilities are employed and include activities such as supervision and training needed to sustain paid work. Community Service: Aimed at developing one’s awareness of, interaction with, and/or participation in the community through exposure to and experience in the community and through teaching such concepts as self-determination, self-advocacy, socialization, and the accrual of social capital. Services are provided in facilities licensed by the state. Day Activity Services: Supports & services provided in therapeutic settings to enable participants to achieve, maintain, improve, or decelerate the loss of personal care, social, and adaptive skills. Services ae provided in non-residential settings that are licensed by the state. CASE MANAGEMENT: Provides a system of program referral, intake, needs assessment, coordination of resources, advocacy, and monitorship of services. CLARENDON WALKING & TALKING:
Services to children ages 0-3 years old who have developmental delays and some level of prematurity or diagnosed conditions that are likely to cause delays. The Early Interventionist provides case management, IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) development and monitoring, referral for applicable therapies, and family training.) FAMILY SUPPORT: A funding resource available to assist families caring for their disabled family member at home. Funds, when available, are used to purchase equipment and services not covered by other resources. SUMMER CAMP SUPPORTS: Financial support, when available, to assist families with children or adults who have special needs in attending the summer camp experience. CLARENDON COUNTY DISABILITIES & SPECIAL NEEDS FOUNDATION, INC:
This private, non-profit entity, established in 1992, provides an avenue to administer donations and offer supports to Clarendon County’s individuals who have special needs and their families. RESIDENTIAL SERVICES:
Community Training Home I (CTH I): An alternative living situation in which people who have intellectual disabilities live in SCDDSN-licensed home settings with trained caregivers. Community Training Home II (CTH II): Community residential facilities that provide a home environment to adults who have intellectual disabilities whose supervision is provided by trained staff. Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF): Two 8-bed residential facilities that provide a home environment to adults who have significant disabilities provided by trained staff. Supervised Living Program I (SLP I): This residential option offers intellectually disabled individuals opportunities to live independently in the community with supportive supervision to monitor finances, medical needs, shopping skills, and provide general counseling. NURSING SERVICES are offered to each CCDSNB residential consumer. Medication management and medical follow-up, available through our nursing department, are key components to enhancing the lives of people who have special needs, CCDSNB offers a burse on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for our residential staff at any time to seek advice for all residents at any time. Nursing is also available for Day Services consumers in the event of a medical emergency. CCDSNB offers a network of medical professionals to meet the individual needs of our residents, from rehabilitation services to primary & specialty care.
