๐ Meet Version History in LumeFrost!
Give your next redesign a useful starting point. Save a version before a big change, revisit earlier designs and see what changed as your website grows. ๐
๐พ SAVE A CHECKPOINT WITH A NAME
Create a manual snapshot with a name and optional notes. Try โBefore homepage redesignโ or โSpring campaign layoutโ so you know what you were working on when you return.
๐ FIND THE VERSION YOU NEED
Browse your timeline, search version names and notes, filter by record type and use the 7, 30 or 90 day date options. Load older records when you need to look farther back.
Available automatic snapshots and publication records can appear alongside your manual versions.
๐ PREVIEW YOUR SAVED DESIGN
Open a snapshot and view its saved design in desktop or mobile mode, with light and dark appearances. The preview is for reviewing the design, so forms and app actions stay inactive.
โ๏ธ COMPARE VERSIONS SIDE BY SIDE
Compare a version with the previous version or your saved draft. See the designs together to understand how your site has changed.
Save your latest edits first if you want them included in a comparison with the saved draft.
๐ SEE WHAT CHANGED
Explore changes grouped into:
โ๏ธ Content
๐ Layout
๐จ Design
๐ผ๏ธ Media
๐ Page settings
โ๏ธ Site settings
Expand a change to review before and after details, including text highlights. Use โShow in snapshotโ on supported changes to find and highlight the affected area in the preview.
โฉ๏ธ REVIEW BEFORE YOU RESTORE
Found a version you want to return to? Open Review restore and check the details.
Restoring replaces the whole saved website draft, including all its pages.
Keep โSave my current draft firstโ selected to create a safety snapshot before restoring. Then publish when you are ready to share the restored design. โ
๐ OPEN VERSION HISTORY IN SITE EDITOR
On desktop, use the Version History icon in the editor toolbar. On mobile, open the page menu and choose Version History.
It is included in Site Editor, with no separate app to install.
