🎉 What a Specially Splendid Two Weeks at McHappy! 🎉

📅 September 21st – October 2nd

🌟 Week One: Action, Autumn, & Ice Cream! 🍁

🦇 Monday Cook Day: We kicked off the week by celebrating National Batman Day and Fried Rice Day! The crew crafted awesome Batman masks and cooked up a delicious feast of chicken stir-fry and egg rolls. 🥢

🦏 Tuesday: We welcomed the changing seasons for the First Day of Autumn and showed some love for wildlife on World Rhino Day with themed arts, crafts, and learning!

🏁 Wednesday: Strategy met science as we celebrated National Checkers Day and Education Technology Day with interactive educational activities and crafts. 💻

🥖 Thursday: Family is everything! We celebrated National Family Day and National Baker Day with special themed projects and lessons. 🥧

🍦 Friday Fun Day: To wrap up an amazing week, we celebrated Comic Book Day and took an exciting outing to Kelly's Dairy Bar for some delicious ice cream! 🍨✨

🐰 Week Two: Movies, Magic, & Cozy Vibes! 🎬

🍝 Monday Cook Day: We celebrated National Bunny Day and Fish Amnesty Day with adorable crafts and education. Afterward, we fueled up with a comforting lunch of spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread! 🥖

🤫 Tuesday: Shhh! We celebrated National Coffee Day and Silent Movie Day with themed crafts, education, and of course, we kicked back to watch a classic silent movie! ☕🎥

🐕 Wednesday: Spread the love! We celebrated National Love People Day and National Pet Tricks Day with heartwarming arts, crafts, and activities. ❤️

🍪 Thursday: Sweet treat overload! We celebrated National Homemade Cookie Day and International Coffee Day with fun themed crafts and lessons. ☕🍪

🧩 Friday Fun Day: Mother Nature brought some rain, but she couldn't stop our fun! We spent a cozy day indoors playing games, coloring, crushing jigsaw puzzles, and simply enjoying each other's wonderful company. 🌧️❤️
It was an absolutely wonderful and exciting two weeks! ✨

👀 Looking Ahead: Turning Up the Heat on Fun! 🔥

📅 October 5th – October 9th
Get ready for an action-packed Fire Prevention Week! Here is what’s on deck:

🚒 Monday: We are learning Kitchen Fire Safety, celebrating World Teacher's Day 🧑‍🏫, and loading up on toppings for a Baked Potato Bar cook day! 🥔

🚨 Tuesday: We are taking an exciting outing to the Fire Museum and practicing our life-saving skills with a Stop, Drop, & Roll demonstration! 🧯

🎃 Wednesday: Time to learn Bedroom Fire Safety, plus we are celebrating all things autumn for National Pumpkin Spice and Pumpkin Seed Day! 🍂

🐙 Thursday: We will review Living Room Fire Safety, followed by some cool lessons for World Octopus Day and World Sight Day! 👁️

🥳 Friday: Our traditional, highly anticipated Friday Fun Day!

Sunday at the ballpark. October baseball ahead! ⚾️❤️

Our McElvain Homes crew headed to Progressive Field with our owner, Bradley, on Sunday for the Guardians’ final regular-season home game—and what a great day together! Plenty of smiles, plenty of cheering, and a chance to enjoy some Cleveland baseball with good company.

Just a few days later, the Guardians punched their ticket to the playoffs for the THIRD straight year! We’re not saying our cheering made the difference… but we’re happy to take a little credit. 😉

These are the days we love sharing. Let’s go, Guards! 🔴🔵

The Past 2 Weeks at McHappy: September 7th – 18th 🗓️

On Monday the 7th, we were closed for Labor Day! 🇺🇸 🛑

Tuesday the 8th, we celebrated World Bacon Day and Grandparents Day with themed crafts and education! 🥓 👵👴

Wednesday the 9th, we celebrated Teddy Bear Day! 🧸 We also welcomed our special guests, the Clines, for more wood-worked arts and crafts. This time, we painted the parts for our Fall -themed napkin holders! 🦃🎨

Thursday the 10th, we decorated our napkin holder parts and set them aside so Mr. Cline could pick them up on Friday to assemble over the weekend. 🛠️ We also celebrated Community Helpers Day with themed crafts and education! 🧑‍🚒👷

Friday the 11th, we celebrated our traditional Friday Fun Day with great fellowship, games, puzzles, arts and crafts, and we honored Patriots Day. 🇺🇸🧩🎲

On Monday the 14th, we celebrated National Coloring Day and National Eat a Hoagie Day! 🖍️ We did themed crafts and, of course, enjoyed delicious hoagies for lunch on our Monday Cook Day! 🥖😋

On Tuesday the 15th, we celebrated National Greenpeace Day and Make a Hat Day with themed crafts and education! 🌱🎩

On Wednesday the 16th, we celebrated National Play-Doh Day and Mayflower Day with themed crafts and education! 🪵🚢 We also got our finished napkin holders back! (I didn't take pictures of them because I didn't want to risk handling them too much). 📸❌ Afterwards, we went to Wendy’s for lunch! 🍔🍟

On Thursday the 17th, we celebrated National Constitution Day and Smithsonian Day with themed crafts and education! 📜🏛️

On Friday the 18th, we had our traditional Friday Fun Day with lots of fun and games! 🎉 We were also invited to the main office for a party! 🏢🎈
