Patience is not weakness in leadership.

Most communication problems are not message problems.

I have seen leaders become frustrated because they believe they have communicated clearly, yet their team still is not responding the way they expected.

The reality is that different people process information differently.

What motivates one person may discourage another.

What inspires one personality style may create resistance in another.

Great communicators understand this.

Great leaders adapt.

When you learn how to communicate in a way others can receive, your influence grows, your relationships improve, and your message creates greater impact.

Your message is not the problem.

One of the biggest leadership mistakes is assuming everyone responds to the same motivation.

You can tell the outgoing, people-oriented personality, “Come on, we have a deadline. Let’s get it done!” and they may rise to the challenge.

But use that same approach with the reserved, people-oriented personality, and you may get the opposite result.

Why?

Because people are wired differently.
