What a great day at Richland County Day Springs Home as we helped kick off the summer with an event for the residents.

Since 2020, there has been a noticeable absence of community events and groups coming together to serve the people who call the county home their home. When the call went out for help, organized labor stepped up.

There are some things in life that are bigger than politics, contracts, or differences. Sometimes you have to lay everything else down and come together for the good of the community. This was one of those days.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, energy, and hearts to make this event special for the residents. This is what community looks like.

Last week, representatives from Laborers' Local 1216 and a dedicated instructor from the Training Center, Chad Lewis, had the pleasure of visiting Bucyrus High School to engage with students about the exciting career opportunities in the construction industry. 🏗️

Our team was thrilled to share insights about the rewarding paths available within our union, emphasizing the importance of skilled trades and the comprehensive training programs we offer.

Students were eager to learn and ask questions, making for an enriching and interactive session.

We are committed to investing in the future of our industry by inspiring the next generation of skilled laborers. Thank you, Bucyrus High School, for welcoming us and supporting the development of future talent. Together, we’re building a stronger, more resilient community! 🌟

Jay Edwards for Ohio Treasurer has been in those trenches and fights to protect Union jobs, strengthen local economies, and wants to make sure the next generation has the same opportunities to earn a good living with pride.
