What a great day at Richland County Day Springs Home as we helped kick off the summer with an event for the residents.

Since 2020, there has been a noticeable absence of community events and groups coming together to serve the people who call the county home their home. When the call went out for help, organized labor stepped up.

There are some things in life that are bigger than politics, contracts, or differences. Sometimes you have to lay everything else down and come together for the good of the community. This was one of those days.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, energy, and hearts to make this event special for the residents. This is what community looks like.

We at Laborers' Local 1216 are thrilled to reflect on the incredible day we shared at the Peace On My Block event! A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who joined us, including the Mansfield City School District, for hosting such a great event. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with our community and celebrate unity and harmony.

We were particularly excited to witness the U.S. Army Golden Knights air show—it rocked the stadium and added an exhilarating touch to the day! Also, thanks to Ohio LECET, which helped us equip attendees with hats and showcased our swag in support of work zone safety. Events like these truly highlight the importance of coming together to foster understanding and collaboration.

We are deeply grateful to be part of initiatives that aim to strengthen and empower our neighborhoods. Let’s continue to work collectively towards keeping the peace and positivity in our communities! 🌟

Last week, representatives from Laborers' Local 1216 and a dedicated instructor from the Training Center, Chad Lewis, had the pleasure of visiting Bucyrus High School to engage with students about the exciting career opportunities in the construction industry. 🏗️

Our team was thrilled to share insights about the rewarding paths available within our union, emphasizing the importance of skilled trades and the comprehensive training programs we offer.

Students were eager to learn and ask questions, making for an enriching and interactive session.
