Due to high winds and dry conditions, the Minnesota DNR has issued a burn ban for Saturday, March 28th, throughout Hennepin County. No open burning of any material will be permitted during this ban under Minnesota Statute 88.171.
Recreational fires with a valid Maple Grove permit are still allowed, if wind conditions do not exceed 10 MPH, per city ordinance. Charcoal, wood-burning, and gas-fired cooking appliances are also allowed without a permit.
Thank you all for doing your part to keep Maple Grove fire safe. Fire is everyone’s fight.
