The stages of processing plastic waste residue into commercial products are almost completely identical to the main stages of recycling, say, plastic bottles.
Differences appear at the granulation stage, when it is necessary to
• equalize the melting temperature of various polymers,
• improve cohesion,
• safely dispose of the resulting gases, etc.
At the extrusion stage, the main distinguishing tasks are
• the process of forming a suspension at high pressure,
• creating polar nuclei for the formation of nanocavities using non-meltable and soluble inclusions, which subsequently act as a filler (up to 30%),
• injecting foamed polymer, which eliminates shrinkage during solidification, etc.
Upon completion of the patenting, we will be happy to publish the features of this technology.

We continue to work on obtaining the first samples. The main units of the foaming agent supply system into the mixture have been manufactured and delivered. Assembly is ongoing.
Sensors for measuring the pressure of the molten polymer, its temperature, as well as flow meters have been installed.

The problem of ocean plastic pollution is known to everyone, its globality is beyond doubt, and sometimes frightening. Various non-profit organizations and startups offer solutions for collecting, recycling or disposing of plastic. Why does this problem still exist?

One of the answers to these questions is the difficulty of recycling and the release of harmful and toxic substances during combustion. We would like to focus on the problem of polymer recycling. In plastic waste, not only oceanic, but also household, there are hundreds of different types of polymer waste. They are mixed and contaminated, including biowaste. To recycle it, it must be sorted, washed, sometimes dried, cleaned. Since differences in melting point, viscosity, or shrinkage during casting will not allow you to remelt all the plastic at once. Sorting is a practically impossible task for such a volume.

But what if recycling plastic it did not need to be sorted? And even not washed? Our company is sure that this is possible! To be honest, the implementation of this answer did not become the reason for the creation of our company, but at a certain point, we came to the conclusion that our developments and experience can allow us not only to offer a solution, but also to implement it on an industrial scale. At the moment, we have manufactured an extrusion stand, tests are being conducted to obtain a test sample, drawings and assembly cards for the equipment have been created. We will tell you more about our technology, its features, equipment performance, etc. in the next article.
