Has anyone out there watched (or read) 'Project Hail Mary' yet? We're biased over here at Protolabs towards all things engineering and space, so naturally, we gravitated towards it.

The film's charming protagonist, Rocky (yeah, Ryan Gosling's charming, too) is a friendly spider-like alien made from oxidized metals and minerals. So obviously, we tracked down the CAD model and 3D printed it in SLS, along with the keepsake he gives Ryland (Gosling) during the movie. Check it out...

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Protolabs partnered with “Monster” Mike Schultz and BioDapt to help former U.S. Marine Paul Kocina return to motocross. After a terrible motorcycle accident, Paul required critical adjustments to his bike that would allow him to ride at a competitive level again without the use of his legs. We were honored to be able to serve as the manufacturing partner to outfit Paul’s bike for hand-shifting before witnessing his epic return to the track.
