Oak Haven was started on a summers day over 20 years ago when a passing thunder storm blew our barn down. While cleaning up the mess I was offered 3 other barns for salvage by neighbors. I was looking for some material to put a cover on the basement of our old barn and agreed to work on them. After they were salvaged an old friend from college that lived in Jackson Wyoming stopped by to visit. While catching up I mentioned that I had all this old wood from the barns out back. After looking at the wood Ken became excited and was convinced that there people interested in wood like it. He was so excited that I told him that he could tell people in Jackson about what he had looked at. Before I knew it I had two calls from two architects, Danny Williams and Jonathan Foote after visiting with them Oak Haven Antique Lumber was started. From its start Oak Haven has been dedicated to finding an new home for the wood and the unique materials from old farm buildings from America's rural past.
