e Vice President of Hansen Marine Engineering, recognizing an opportunity and the need for this in the industry, set out to create just that. He spent two years developing the XRT Combi. The XRT Combi supplies the reliable, smooth running hydraulic power that is needed in heavy duty extrications. In 1998 Fred Knowles received a United States Patent on his invention and XRT Power Systems was born.
