Grinds, inspects and cleans castings. Break off/cut off casting gating and moves parts with a forklift. General labor as required. Will train as required.

Seeking a dependable and reliable employee to fill immediate full-time opening for Green Sand Molder in a cast iron foundry. Must be able to work from 6:00 am – 4:30 pm with overtime when needed. Must be 18 or older. Great benefits available after 90 days.

Produce green sand molds using a squeezer, roto-lift machine, or on the heavy floor as directed by supervisor and daily schedule. Individual will also perform shake out (break down of the previous day’s molds) at the start of each morning. Molders must have an eye for detail and ensure that molds will produce quality castings.

Individual may also shift weights, help refill raw materials bins in the Melt department, and move molds or completed raw castings with a forklift as necessary. Individual is responsible for ensuring that their area is kept clean and organized every day. General labor as required. Will train as required.

Melters are responsible for melting and pouring molten iron into molds. Melters combine raw steel, alloys, and remelt to create the appropriate type of iron for a specific part, as directed by the Melt Supervisor and the daily schedule. Individual must have an eye for detail and ensure that every heat of iron is made to specification and poured correctly. Job requires lifting, shoveling, climbing ladders, and other physical work as well as operating a forklift.

Individual will also assist on the melt floor, shifting weights, refilling raw materials bins in the department, and moving molds or completed raw castings with a forklift as necessary. Individual is responsible for ensuring that their area is kept clean and organized every day. General labor as required. Will train as required.
