Turn Row Stitches

Turn Row Stitches Custom monogramming and embroidery. Plus, cute appliques for all occasions. I grew up on a cotton farm and of course, I am married to a cotton farmer.

Last year when Sarah and I got our machine and were starting this business we wanted to come up with a cute name. I love cotton! I wanted to incorporate it in my business somehow. One of my favorite memories is taking supper to the field when my daddy was picking cotton. We would sit the food out on the tailgate of the truck and the help would come fix their plate. Back then, it was usually late O

ctober or early November and it was cold. We would play in the cotton trailers and try our "feet" at stomping cotton. All this happened on a turn row. (For you city folks, this is the dirt road that was usually around the edge of the field). Now, back to naming the business. A sweet friend had just sold her business "Dirt Road Trends" and I just loved that name. So, that was our inspiration behind Turn Row Stitches. If you see our logo, you will see that the "o" in Row is actually a cotton boll. Cotton has been what raised me and what has sustained my family. I salute ALL FARMERS. They are the backbone of this country and I'm proud to say I am a farm family. The tradition continues. Sarah and I thank you for your business and look forward to more fun projects!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’d like to thank all my customers for their business over the past five years. I’ve learned a lot and have enjoyed adding that special touch to your goodies. Since I started Turn Row Stitches I’ve retired and had two more grandchildren. We’ve expanded the farm and life has gotten so busy. With that in mind I have decided that I need to focus more on family and farm therefore will no longer be sewing for the public. (Maybe now I can do things for my own kids😄). Again many thanks for your business and a special thank you for the business relationship I’ve had over the years with Handworks, Cathy Campbell Laura Young and their staff.

I can finally reveal what I worked so hard on! This design was a cross stitch pattern that we turned into an embroidery design! It was definitely a labor of love! This sweet girl’s Mama wanted it so badly on this dress, and we were glad to make her wish come true!
