Red River Propane located in Marietta, Oklahoma is hiring for propane bobtail driver.
Propane experience is preferred, but not required we will train the right person.
Must be a team player and work well with others must be able to self-supervise and be motivated to grow your route as well as your ability to earn more.
Pay for this position has a weekly amount plus percent for gallons pumped over set amount.
At least 21 years old required
Class B CDL following endorsements;
Hazmat, tankers, air brakes
Oklahoma LP Commission certification preferred but will train and certify the right person
MUST be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Must have clean driving record
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
Proficient verbal and written communication skills and great people skills
Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of the truck sometimes needed
A driver makes 25-35 customer stops on a typical day working in all weather and driving conditions which includes will call deliveries as well as manage our "Keep full Program" customers in your designated delivery area. Load and unload propane bobtail, gas checks, leak test and changing regulators

Some helpful propane info.

Why is your propane tank painted a light-reflecting color?
If you paint a propane tank in a dark or non-reflective color, the tank will absorb heat from the sun, even on cloudy days.

As the tank heats, the propane inside will expand. If it expands enough it could cause the safety relief valve to open to reduce the excess pressure from the tank.

During this time of heightened awareness for public health safety and the importance of social distancing we are recommending that all propane customers check their propane tank gauge. If your gauge is at 20% or below please call your area office to schedule a delivery. If your propane tank runs empty we are required by regulations to enter the home and conduct a leak test. To keep our employees at a safe distance as well as our customers it is important that your tank does not run empty (at 0%). Thank you.
