After the rain, walk the yard.

Metro Atlanta got a lot of rain last night. Once conditions are safe, take five minutes today and look for the water it left behind.

Check:

💧 Flowerpot saucers
💧 Buckets and outdoor containers
💧 Children's toys
💧 Birdbaths
💧 Gutters that are not draining properly
💧 Tarps, covers and low areas where water may collect

It does not take a large puddle to matter. Small, overlooked pockets of standing water can give mosquitoes a place to develop.

Before you spend money trying to reduce mosquitoes, spend a few minutes looking around the property first.
