Global nuclear just posted back-to-back records.
Reactors worldwide generated 2,702 TWh of electricity in 2025 — a new high, beating 2024's previous record of 2,667 TWh. And it isn't only a new-build story: the World Nuclear Association's latest Outlook Report puts the average capacity factor across the global fleet at 83.7% in 2025, with capacity factor actually climbing as reactors pass the 50-year mark.
The growth story is real too — 82 GWe of new capacity now under construction, 11 reactors that broke ground in 2025 alone, and 38 countries now signed on to a pledge to triple global nuclear capacity by 2050.
Two things have to be true at once for that ambition to work: build the new fleet, and keep the existing one running at its best for decades longer. At Trinoor, the second part is where we live every day — helping the operators of long-lived nuclear assets keep the people, the records, and the maintenance discipline in place that makes numbers like 83.7% possible in the first place.

Nuclear reactors worldwide generated 2,702 TWh of electricity in 2025, beating the previous year's record of 2,667 TWh, according to the World Nuclear Outlook Report, which also calculates that if all national nuclear targets were achieved, total capacity would more than triple by 2050. ;
