Yesterday our monthly Lunch & Learn, was hosted live from the Marietta, GA office. Employees in person and remote enjoyed lunch and tuned in to a comparative overview of project management tools, Asana & Jira. Project Lead, Neumeister, walked the group through the functionality of Jira and Engineer, Southard explained Asana's features. Together, they shared insights into how each platform supports different project goals, workflows, and collaboration needs across our teams.

A special thank you to E. for moderating today's session and helping facilitate another valuable opportunity for learning and knowledge sharing at GDS.

Members of the GDS Rates & Regulatory team proudly supported the North Carolina's Electric Cooperatives 27th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser, benefiting the UNC Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill, NC. The event included a golf outing and dinner reception at the Grandover Resort & Spa in Greensboro, North Carolina. NCEMC has held this annual fundraiser since 1999, and this year, exceed their fundraising goal of $200K.

Beyond enjoying a great day with industry colleagues, it was especially rewarding to be part of an event that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Congratulations to NCEMC and all of the sponsors, volunteers, and participants who helped make this record-breaking year possible.

As we celebrate Labor Day, we recognize the people whose hard work keeps our organizations, communities, and industries moving forward.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said it best:
"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence."

Today, we honor the value, dignity, and impact of work in all its forms and the individuals who perform it with dedication and purpose.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Labor Day.
