MARC Marietta Area Recycling Center MARC permanently closed on 4/30/2025. This site will remain to provide Recycling Options and Special Collection Event information for Washington County.

We are the oldest volunteer recycling center in the State of Ohio. MARC operates on money obtained from recycled materials (25%) but mainly from donations from recyclers and sponsors. We receive no monetary support from any government entity. The following materials are currently being taken in to recycle at MARC:

* Newspaper, Magazines and Office Paper
* Cardboard and Pasteboard (i.e. cereal b

oxes)
* Colored, Brown and Clear Bottle Glass
* Steel/Tin Cans
* Aluminum Cans
* Plastics - #1, 2, 4 and 5 (Refer to # in triangle on bottom of container)

We do no accept the following:

Pyrex or window glass
Styrofoam
Plastic - #3, 6 and 7

REMINDER - Tomorrow, Thursday, 7/30/2026 is the Appliance Collection Day!! This happens once a year so do not miss it!
