Yesterday, the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce was honored to attend the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Family Fun Celebration!

It was wonderful to see so many families and community members come together to celebrate the unveiling of the Club’s new playground and recognize 30 years of dedicated service to the Marion community.

Congratulations to the Boys & Girls Club on this incredible milestone, and thank you for making a lasting impact on the lives of Marion’s youth. Here’s to many more years of inspiring, supporting, and empowering the next generation!

Some ribbon cuttings celebrate the opening of a business. Others celebrate the heart behind it.

The Marion Area Chamber of Commerce and our Chamber Ambassadors were honored to celebrate Lazeez Grill with a ribbon cutting.

As you watch this video, you’ll learn the meaning behind the name Lazeez Grill, hear a touching personal story from Cassie, one of the managers, and discover why this restaurant is so much more than a place to enjoy an incredible meal. It’s a place built on hope, second chances, compassion, and a team that has truly become family.

Thank you for sharing your story and for making a positive impact on our community. We are proud to have Lazeez Grill as part of the Marion Area Chamber family and look forward to watching your continued success.

Rebecca Layne has been serving members at Pillar Credit Union since 1998, building her career from the ground up — starting as a teller before moving through roles as a loan processor and loan officer on her way to her current position as Loan Manager.

Today she oversees all aspects of lending, including consumer, mortgage, and business lending. With nearly three decades of experience, Rebecca is passionate about helping individuals and businesses find financial solutions that support their goals. She values integrity, strives to do what's right for members, and is dedicated to building lasting relationships while developing a team that provides knowledgeable, caring service.

Born and raised in Marion, Rebecca is a graduate of Harding High School and takes pride in serving the Marion community and members throughout the surrounding counties. Beyond her role at Pillar, she stays active in the community as an Ambassador with the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce and, new this year, as a member of the Business Advisory Committee at Marion Tech.

She currently resides in rural Morrow County with her husband, Adam, and the two have a grown son, Dylan. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys fishing on Lake Erie each fall, exploring Ohio's wineries with her sister and favorite niece, and curling up with a good book.

She's also gearing up for an exciting new chapter — she'll be a grandma this November, and you can bet she's already doing plenty of baby shopping!

Looking forward to the ribbon cutting.
