Another fuels reduction job in the books. 🔥🛑
Before & after from a property we just wrapped here in Mariposa County. Overgrown brush, ladder fuels, and crowded understory cleared out — opening up the canopy, breaking up the continuous fuel bed, and giving this land a real fighting chance when fire season hits.
This is what defensible space actually looks like:
✅ Ladder fuels removed so ground fire can't climb into the crowns
✅ Brush thinned and spaced — no more continuous fuel highway
✅ Mature trees kept healthy with room to breathe
✅ Access opened up for fire crews if the worst happens
Cal Fire calls it Zone 1 & Zone 2 defensible space. We call it doing the work before the fire shows up — not after.
