Happy new year. I keep seeing trends about starting something new this year…won’t be hard for me…my son brought home chickens and then moved out and my daughter is off to college in the Fall.

Acceptance and excitement are how I am facing these things…with a side of fear for sure. Simply won’t lie about that.

2026 will be new and exciting for sure. I simply can’t wait to see what is ahead. Just booked two new jobs so seems to be off to a good start-hope it is for you too!

Just finished packing up a house in West Hartford and helping my Client prepare for their move next week. About a month ago I reached out to my friend Kali, pictured here with me back in 2013, and asked how her daughter‘s college experience was going. During the conversation she asked if I needed help with any of my Simply Done jobs. She asked at just the right time because my Client had asked if I had anyone helping me pack, concerned that I wouldn’t be able to handle it all on my own. I told Kali I would be happy to have her help me if she was available and we spent the month of October packing up the house together, reminiscing about our days at the Hartford, our old lunches at Whole Foods when the kids were little and what’s to come in the future. Not only did I successfully complete a big Simply Done job, I reunited with a good friend. Simply the best Simply Done!

A couple weeks ago my Client that I used to visit weekly passed away. I was so sad to hear this news but grateful I got to know her and support her through her battle with dementia. I was even more honored to have the time to be at her funeral and to hear the stories her children told of her great support and love. Simply being there and encouraging them was the common theme. One said that her mom was her best friend. How beautiful and amazing. The world may try to steal your mind and body, but it may never steal your legacy. Simply leave the world better than it was yesterday.
