As we head into Memorial Day weekend, our Marlinton office will be closed Friday and Monday as we take time to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

While many of us will spend time with family, friends, and community this weekend, we also remember the true meaning behind Memorial Day and the freedoms we enjoy because of those who served.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been helping a local organization untangle and rebuild their accounting records through extensive forensic reconciliation and transaction research.

This wasn’t just bookkeeping — it involved tracing historical transactions across bank statements, identifying cross-month posting issues, reconstructing missing activity, and validating balances account-by-account until the books finally tied out correctly.

As of this week, nearly an entire fiscal year is now fully reconciled and balanced.

Accurate financials matter. They create confidence for leadership, budgeting, reporting, audits, and day-to-day operations.

Proud of the work we’re doing through Jena Enterprises / Almost Local Business Hub helping organizations regain trust in their financial data.

We’ve been working on something pretty exciting at Almost Local Business Hub…

We’re now building custom business applications using AI—meaning we can take an idea and turn it into a working system in a fraction of the time it used to take.

Here are a couple examples:

• A project timekeeping system that tracks billable hours and pending invoices

To put it in perspective:
These types of systems would normally take months to develop. We’re building them in days—and in some cases, hours.
