It’s hard to believe it has almost been 20 years since the terrorist attacks on America on September 11th, 2001. Our good friend Rob Campbell Leadership shared the following and we couldn’t have said it better ourselves…

“While today's younger generation were babies, or not even born when 9/11 occurred, it is still important to pause, reflect and remember this significant day. Recent events in Afghanistan and the press coverage this year's anniversary is getting will be constant reminders for them but what can a leader do in the workplace?

Remembering is important. Tell your people it is supposed to haunt and hurt. "Lest we forget." If we choose to bury history we are doomed to repeat it. Today's generation holds the torch for our nation and learning from our past lights the way toward a better future.”

BusinessandBourbon recently highlighted our very own, Anthony DiSibio in their Meet a Member Newsletter.

Ronnell Richards and the B&B Team are doing great things in the world of networking and leadership. Be sure to give them a follow! 🥃 💯

Anthony DiSibio began his career on a much different path than he is on today — with a Master's degree in Secondary Education. However, the difficulties that he faced during his early career as an educator led him to create a framework that would guide his current endeavors. He's also an active Bu...

"Employers are ready to get back to significant in-person presence. Employees aren’t. The disconnect is deeper than most employers believe, and a spike in attrition and disengagement may be imminent."

Fantastic insight into the shift from McKinsey & Company. Here are a few of our favorite gems...

💎 Employers are underestimating the disconnect and failing to realize that the ‘finish line’ is a mirage.

💎 Don’t just repeat what the workforce says explicitly, empathize with what they are trying to convey implicitly.

💎 Denying the disconnect is no strategy at all.

This week, we shine a light one more time on General Colin Powell's My American Journey. It's an outstanding read. Please get it and take time with it.

So far, we've looked at two of General Powell's Leadership Primers. This week we're focusing on Lesson #2: The day soldiers (employees and colleagues) stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them.

As always, we wish you luck on your leadership journey. Continue to stay safe and be well.

As organizations transition to the hybrid workplace leaders must consider how to balance their team's wellbeing with the expectation of productivity and performance.

Doing so requires a new perspective on two critical leadership skills for the digital workplace:
➊ Teamwork
➋ Connected Communications

As always, we wish you luck on your leadership journey. Stay safe and be well.

Once a leader has mastered team dynamics and connected communications, productivity and performance will follow.
