Last week team members from Influential Drones had the opportunity to visit Parkway Elementary School in Mount Laurel NJ, to introduce students to the exciting world of drones, aviation, robotics, and emerging technology.

One of the best parts of outreach like this is helping students realize that technology careers are not just something they see online or in movies. These are real opportunities happening right here in New Jersey and across the country.

A huge thank you to the teachers, staff, and students at Parkway Elementary for welcoming team members into the classroom to inspire future aviators of tomorrow.

We had a fantastic turnout at AUVSI Xponential for our interactive workshop on airspace readiness working with Seneca Nation Group.

The session focused on a practical question facing organizations: How prepared is your organization to support scalable, safe, and accountable drone operations.

The discussion reinforced an important message: successful drone programs are built on more than aircraft and software. They require clear mission objectives, trained personnel, documented procedures, executive support, funding, and a governance framework that can scale with operational demands.

Thank you to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed to a highly engaged discussion. It was encouraging to see leaders from commercial industry, public safety, and government working together to assess where they are today and what steps are needed next.

We’re grateful to be mentioned in Vertical Space Magazine’s article, “Building the Drone Workforce of Tomorrow” by Sharon Rossmark.

The article highlights an important point: the future of the drone industry requires more than Part 107 certification. It requires practical training, regulatory understanding, safety discipline, and mission-specific experience.

That has always been Influential Drones’ focus. We help public safety, government, education, and commercial operators build responsible drone programs grounded in safety, compliance, and real-world operational readiness.

The drone workforce of tomorrow is not just learning to fly. It is learning how to operate with purpose, accountability, and confidence.

We are 30 days away from FIFA World Cup 2026™ game start. As the excitement builds this graphic is an important reminder that safety and security extend beyond the stadium gates and into the airspace above them. The FAA has designated World Cup stadiums and surrounding event spaces as strict “No Drone Zones,” and unauthorized drone flights in these areas are a serious federal violation. The FAA says these restrictions are being put in place to help protect players, fans, staff, and the broader event environment, and the agency is specifically warning travelers not to bring drones to stadiums or official World Cup events.

For drone operators, this is not a gray area. During major events like the World Cup, the FAA uses Temporary Flight Restrictions and other airspace controls to secure the area, and even experienced remote pilots with normal authorizations cannot assume they are cleared to fly during active restriction windows. Federal authorities have warned that unauthorized operations can lead to civil penalties up to $75,000, drone confiscation, and possible criminal charges, with the FBI and partner agencies using detection and mitigation capabilities to address unlawful activity.

Help protect the match and protect the fans. Leave your drone at home, respect the No Drone Zones, and always check official FAA airspace restrictions and TFR information before flying anywhere near a host city during the tournament. The focus belongs on the pitch, not on an avoidable drone enforcement action.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁.
Recent aviation incidents remind us that safety is never just about controlling the aircraft. It is also about understanding the environment around it.

The same principle applies to drones. As public safety, commercial, infrastructure, research, and emergency response UAS operations increase, we need to think beyond the aircraft and focus on the shared airspace around it.

Safe UAS integration requires awareness, communication, and procedures that account for other lawful operators, crewed aircraft, obstacles, terrain, and changing conditions.

Here is an article why this conversation matters:

The Risk We Don’t Talk About: Public Safety Drones, Commercial UAS, and the Future of Airspace De-Confliction There is a common belief in emergency management and public safety that if you identify a problem, you then inherit responsibility for solving it. That belief is not entirely wrong. Once a...

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 is no longer theoretical.

Joby’s successful flight in NYC this past week is a strong signal of where Advanced Air Mobility is headed. But getting there sometimes starts smaller… with drones! Structured testing performed on a smaller scale with every flight helping to build the trust, procedures, and airspace awareness needed for the next generation of aviation.

Another training session sponsored at the state level. This time preparing those that may have encounters with “What they can do, what they are seeing, and what tools are available to help assess a situation safely and effectively.

In this setting, technology is introduced with an understanding of system capabilities. Real operations are discussed. We build upon practical awareness, not just spec sheet knowledge.

The goal is simple:
Give confidence to approach a drone-related situation with clarity, consistency, and the ability to communicate in the same operational language. This is how we move from uncertainty to understanding.

In support of FAA Drone Safety Day, Influential Drones is sharing a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 because drone safety is a shared responsibility.

As unmanned aircraft become more common at parks, construction sites, schools, public events, emergency scenes, houses of worship, airports, and commercial job sites, more people are being asked to explain drone rules in the field.

That includes law enforcement personnel, event staff, church and venue security teams, airport operations staff, educators, outreach coordinators, property managers, and others who interact with drone operators or concerned members of the public.

Not every drone encounter is an enforcement action. Many begin as a simple question from a drone operator, property owner, event attendee, concerned resident, educator, facility manager, or safety professional trying to understand what is allowed.

Drone rules are spread across different FAA pages, statutes, regulations, safety programs, and operational categories. Recreational flyers have one set of responsibilities. Commercial operators have another. Agricultural operations may involve additional requirements.

Controlled airspace, stadium restrictions, emergency response scenes, Remote ID, night operations, and special local conditions can all change what is allowed.

The FAA has valuable resources, but there is not always one simple sheet that puts the most common public-facing information in one place. This flyer helps fill that gap.

The goal is simple: support safer conversations, better education, and more consistent messaging before a drone operation becomes a safety concern.

Yesterday at the Soar to Shore Conference in Cape May NJ, a powerful Counter UAS (cUAS) panel brought together voices from across industry and government to tackle one of the most important challenges in modern airspace.

Panel was moderated by Leach Strategic Partners and included speakers from:
• New Jersey State Police
• New Jersey Department of Corrections
• New Jersey Office of Homeland Security & Preparedness
• Federal Air Marshal Service
• Influential Drones

The conversation reinforced a critical reality:
Airspace awareness is no longer optional. It is essential.

As drone operations expand across public safety, infrastructure, and commercial sectors, the need for coordinated detection, identification, and response frameworks continues to grow. This is not just about technology. It is about training, policy alignment, and operational discipline.

A remote operations desk like this is not just about more screens. It is about better awareness.

With seven monitors in view, one operator can track live video, maps, telemetry, weather, airspace, and system status at the same time. That kind of awareness matters because small misses can become big problems fast.

Better visibility supports better decisions, faster response, and safer operations.

We’re excited to share this video and proud to have the opportunity to work with the UAS Center at SBD and its growing initiatives involving the Norton Test Range at the San Bernardino International Airport.

The work happening there reflects something we care deeply about at Influential Drones. Creating meaningful opportunities for drone and robotics technology to be tested, applied, and advanced in practical ways. We’re grateful to play a supporting role in that effort and look forward to what continues to grow from it.
