In support of FAA Drone Safety Day, Influential Drones is sharing a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 because drone safety is a shared responsibility.
As unmanned aircraft become more common at parks, construction sites, schools, public events, emergency scenes, houses of worship, airports, and commercial job sites, more people are being asked to explain drone rules in the field.
That includes law enforcement personnel, event staff, church and venue security teams, airport operations staff, educators, outreach coordinators, property managers, and others who interact with drone operators or concerned members of the public.
Not every drone encounter is an enforcement action. Many begin as a simple question from a drone operator, property owner, event attendee, concerned resident, educator, facility manager, or safety professional trying to understand what is allowed.
Drone rules are spread across different FAA pages, statutes, regulations, safety programs, and operational categories. Recreational flyers have one set of responsibilities. Commercial operators have another. Agricultural operations may involve additional requirements.
Controlled airspace, stadium restrictions, emergency response scenes, Remote ID, night operations, and special local conditions can all change what is allowed.
The FAA has valuable resources, but there is not always one simple sheet that puts the most common public-facing information in one place. This flyer helps fill that gap.
The goal is simple: support safer conversations, better education, and more consistent messaging before a drone operation becomes a safety concern.
