I fell in love with photography the day I got my first camera. You know the one, that little flat rectan

gle, hot pink, with a wrist lanyard. Yes, that taught me to love looking at the world through a small window to create large moments from everyday occurances. Granted, my parents never put film in that camera, I knew my shots would be great someday. Now, many years and many cameras later, I still don't have film, but what I do have is a passion and drive that I've never felt for anything else (except for being a mother). Thankfully we live in a digital age, so film is no longer necessary but the skills I cultivated during those years of throw away, drop in film and point and shoot cameras are what have enabled me to take my fancy pants camera out of it's case, look it in the dials and k***s and say with confidence, "Let's do this."
