Versatile Solutions, LLC Helping business owners stop managing the daily chaos so they can start building a lasting business legacy. I knew there had to be a better way.

**It Started With a Familiar Story.....**

Throughout my career, I saw the same pattern over and over: brilliant business owners who were experts at their craft but were being held back by financial complexity and inefficient systems. They were stressed, uncertain about their profitability, and spending too much time battling operational issues instead of focusing on what they do best serving thei

r customers and growing their business. That’s why I founded Versatile Solutions: to provide the strategic financial and operational guidance that turns that complexity and stress into clarity and confidence.

**Experience You Can Trust**

My unique background allows me to see the full picture of your business from the high-level financial strategy down to the software systems that run your day to day operations. Over a decade of experience as a CFO, where I played a key role in generating millions in profit and streamlining operations for a multi-million dollar business. A foundational career in software development and consulting, giving me a rare, hands on understanding of how to make business systems and technology work for you, not against you.

Ever wish you could scan your business decisions like a nutrition label? 🍎🔍

I recently heard a great tip for maintaining the energy needed to push through long workdays while still having fuel left for family time: stop eating hidden junk.

They recommended an app called Yuka. You scan a barcode, and it instantly rates the item bad, poor, good, or excellent and breaks down exactly why.

Naturally, I went a little crazy scanning everything in our kitchen cupboards. The surprising part? Several of my go-to "healthy" items were actually packed with garbage. My wife and I even took it to Costco, using the app to scan our way to much better, healthier choices! 🛒

It got me thinking... wouldn't it be incredible to have a scanner like that for your business? 🤔

As an owner, you make dozens of choices a day: hiring, investing in software, adopting new processes. On the outside, these decisions look "healthy" for growth. But underneath the surface, hidden financial leaks and operational bottlenecks might be quietly draining your company's energy and profits.

When your data is disconnected, you are flying blind. And complexity breeds business chaos.

There isn't an app to scan your business choices. But that is exactly what a Fractional CFO & COO does.

We look past the shiny packaging and analyze the actual "ingredients" of your financials and operations. We provide the real-time data and clarity you need to ensure your decisions are fueling sustainable growth allowing you to stop managing chaos and start building your business legacy.

Stop guessing about the health of your business. If you are ready to get a clear, accurate read on your financials and operations, let's chat.

Why are we so good at "fighting through" the wrong things?

I almost fell into an old trap this week.

Every year around this time, the seasonal congestion and headaches hit me hard. And every year, my first instinct is the same: "I’m busy. I'll just push through it. It’ll go away on its own."

I spent three days feeling miserable and struggling to stay focused. Then it finally clicked. I already have the remedy that works every time: a few days of allergy relief. Within a few rounds of taking it, I had my energy and my clarity back.

I see business owners do this with their companies every single day.

They live with the "chronic symptoms" of business chaos:

🤧The Congestion: Inefficient workflows that make every task feel like a slog.

🤕The Headache: That constant uncertainty about actual profits and cash flow.

😩The Fatigue: Burning the candle at both ends just to keep up with growth.

They know the remedy; better systems, clearer data, and a real strategic plan. But they tell themselves they’ll fix it "when things slow down."

The truth? Waiting for things to slow down is what keeps you stuck.

If your business has a grip on you, stop trying to outwork the chaos. Apply the remedy and start building the legacy you actually set out to create.

Ready to take the first step toward control?

I created a free 5-Step Checklist to help you identify your business's "remedy" and get back to leading instead of reacting.

We were always just one shoe away... 👟

Does your Sunday morning ever feel like a high-stakes rescue mission?

When my kids were younger, we had a rock-solid routine. We’d get up early, have breakfast together, and get everyone dressed for church. On the surface, everything looked like it was under control.

Then, the "Chaos Monster" would strike.

One of the kids would walk out with one shoe on, having absolutely no idea where the other one was. Suddenly, the "peaceful" morning turned into frantic firefighting. We weren’t leading the family anymore; we were just reacting to the chaos.

I see this same pattern in growing businesses every single week.

You’re busy. You’re working hard. But it feels like you're constantly "one shoe away" from actually having things in order:

👟Financial Uncertainty: You have the reports, but you lack the confidence to make big decisions because of one missing piece of data.

👟Operational Bottlenecks: Your team is great, but your systems don't talk to each other, so you're stuck doing manual work.

👟The Growth Trap: You're so busy putting out daily fires that you have no time to focus on the long-term vision of your business.

The truth is: You don't need more time in the day; you need a business design that doesn't waste the time you have.

The "missing shoe" isn't the problem the lack of a system to keep the shoes together is.

As a Fractional CFO & COO, I help owners move from "managing chaos" to "building a legacy". We stop the firefighting and start designing a business that is truly built to last.

What's the "missing shoe" in your business right now? Let's find it and fix it.

The "Old" Villain Making a Dangerous Comeback ⚠️

Check fraud isn't new, and I have posted about the mechanics of "check washing" before. But lately, through my financial network, I’ve been hearing about it more and more frequently.

Criminals are no longer just stealing checks; they are using chemicals to "wash" away details like the recipient's name or the dollar amount. They rewrite the check to themselves, diverting your funds into their accounts in seconds.

For a growing business, this isn't just a minor error. It is Business Chaos that leads to:

*Immediate cash flow holes that can stall your operations.

*Weeks of "firefighting" with banks to try and recover funds.

*A direct hit to the legacy you’ve worked so hard to build.

Your Path to Control is Simple: Stop outworking the chaos and start designing a business that prevents it.

A lesson in efficiency from 95 minutes of black and white. 📽

Last weekend I finally caught up on a classic I had never seen: 12 Angry Men. I noticed the runtime was only 1 hour and 35 minutes. Since most modern movies drag on for 2 or 3 hours I was more than willing to take the time to watch it.

The surprise was that this 95-minute film had more tension, strategy, and impact than any 3-hour blockbuster I have seen recently.

It made me think about how often business owners fall into a volume trap. You might think that to solve operational chaos or financial friction, you must hire a full-time executive to sit in a chair for 40 or more hours a week.

You end up paying for the "long-movie" version of leadership, which often comes with corporate bloat and internal politics. What you actually need is pure, high-impact strategy. When you confuse "more time" with "more value," your business stays stuck reacting to problems instead of moving toward growth.

This is exactly why Fractional Leadership is the ultimate shortcut for high-growth owners. Like that movie, my practice is built on impact per minute:

✅Direction over Advice. I do not just tell you what to do from the sidelines. I step into a permanent leadership seat and guide the business forward.

✅Bite-Sized Strategy. You get decades of executive wisdom in a fraction of the time, skipping the overhead of a full-time hire.

✅Zero Bloat. We prioritize the "One Thing" that moves the needle so you can stop firefighting and start building a legacy.

You do not need a 3-hour movie to see a masterpiece, and you do not need a 40-hour salary to get profitable clarity.

Ready for a high-impact, low-bloat path to control? Let's build your plan.

The song was perfect. The artist didn’t exist. 🍔🎧

The other night, I was in the kitchen cleaning up after grilling some burgers. Spotify recommended a song by "Eddie Dalton" called "Somewhere Along the Way."

It was soothing and perfectly set the mood for winding down. I liked it so much I even hunted down a "Dalton Mix" on Spotify.

Then I did a little digging this morning.

It turns out Eddie Dalton isn't a person. He’s AI-generated. 🤖

I’ll admit, the realization was jarring. It made me stop and think: In a world moving this fast, how do you distinguish between what’s "real" and what’s just a very convincing algorithm?

This is exactly what is happening in business right now.

We are surrounded by tools that promise "automated" success, automated bookkeeping, AI-generated reports, and plug-and-play systems. But they lack one critical thing: Human Intelligence.

A program can give you a "Cash Runway" number, but it can’t tell you if that number feels "safe" based on your specific culture or industry shifts. Without human expertise to decipher the truth, you aren’t leading your following a script that might be "hallucinating."

I’m curious if you have had a 'jarring' moment with AI lately? Does the music of 'Eddie Dalton' set the mood for you, or does the AI origin ruin the vibe?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! 👇

Why your "Business Education" might be a Growth Trap.

Ever feel like you’re doing everything right reading the books, listening to the podcasts, attending the seminars but the chaos in your business isn't actually going away?

You’re likely caught in the Mirror Trap.

It’s easy to look into the "mirror" of your financials or workflows and see exactly what's wrong. But the moment you walk away to handle a "daily fire," that clarity vanishes.

Insight without action is just trivia.

Knowing your cash flow is tight doesn't fix the leak. Knowing your systems are disconnected doesn't automate your data. Contentment with only hearing the solution is a spiritual miscalculation that leaves you an informed victim of your own business chaos.

It’s time to stop studying the reflection and start walking the path from chaos to control.

The Path Forward is Simple:

*Identify the "One Thing" – Pinpoint the single biggest bottleneck causing friction today.

*Take the Next Physical Step – Don't build a 50-page plan; do the one 5-minute task that starts the fix.

*Execute Immediately – Act while the clarity is fresh.

What is one business truth you’ve heard for months but haven't acted on yet? Share it below, and let's turn that knowledge into a step toward your legacy.

When you try to fix everything at once, you fix nothing.

I often meet brilliant business owners who are drowning in the "perspiration" of daily tasks. They have a list of a dozen things that are "broken" in their business, from slow invoicing to disconnected software.

Trying to tackle all twelve at once is the fastest way to burnout. It keeps you reacting to your business instead of leading it, leaving your long-term legacy on the back burner.

Step 2 of my "Chaos to Control" method is identifying your "One Thing." 🎯

Common examples:
The Approval Bottleneck: Does every small decision have to go through you?
The Quoting Gap: Is it taking too long to get numbers to your customers?
The Manual Entry Trap: Are you re-entering data because your systems don't talk?

Once we solve that #1 bottleneck, you regain the momentum needed to build a business that is truly built to last.

What is the "One Thing" holding your business back today? I’ve created a 5-step checklist to help you identify and solve it.

When the "Backup Plan" fails, it's time for a New Design.

A few weeks ago, my client in a secluded area faced an operational nightmare. Their primary internet went down, and their Verizon backup failed right along with it. In a business that relies on real-time data for POS and operations, they didn't just lose a day of work they gained 3 days of manual catch-up. These has happened more than once.

As a Fractional CFO, I immediately calculated the "Invisible Cost": lost revenue and the ballooning labor cost of fixing the backlog. I shifted into my Fractional COO role to solve the root cause.

We pivoted to Starlink. 🛰️ I didn't just hope it worked; I performed a "Tailgate Test" on a pickup truck to ensure a flawless connection before mounting the hardware.

The Result: 5X the speed of their previous service and a system that is finally built to last. Smart operations aren't about the most expensive tech it's about the right tool for the stage you are in.

Have any of you made the switch to Starlink for your business? I’d love to hear your experience with reliability during storms or in secluded areas.

What Will They Say When You’re Gone?

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking this week about a classmate of mine who recently passed away from a heart attack.

He left behind a wife and kids, but he also left an incredible legacy in our community. He was a business owner, a husband, and a father but more than that, he was the kind of man who would literally give you the shirt off his back if you were in need.

As business owners, it is so easy to get caught up in the "perspiration" of daily chaos. We react to financial friction and operational bottlenecks, telling ourselves we’ll focus on the "important stuff" once the fires are out.

But the truth is, life is fragile.

Your business should be a tool that serves your life and your family, not a monster that consumes your time and energy. Real control gives you the freedom to be the person your community and family need you to be.

This Holy Week, I’m looking past the spreadsheets and the software. I’m asking myself: Am I building a business that creates a legacy I can be proud of?

What are you building for?
