Attendees had fun with bounce houses, puppies and kittens from Copper Paws Rescue, Inc. , a live DJ, and local food trucks. We even introduced our new game, The Cheese Curd Toss!

Earlier this month, the Nelson-Jameson leadership team gathered for a retreat and dedicated VTO hours to building wheelchairs and making blankets for the Vilas County Veterans Service Office.

A big congratulations to the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association and the award-winning cheesemakers on a record-breaking year of proceeds from the 2026 Championship Cheese Auction. Across 42 lots and 106 gold medal cheeses, butters, and yogurts (bid on by 29 industry supporters), the funds raised over 30+ years of this auction tradition go directly back into the industry we love:

👉 Education: Funding $5,000 student scholarships; growing training programs for dairy manufacturers and suppliers
👉 Innovation: Supporting a $90,000 commitment to the new Wuethrich Family/Grassland Dairy Center of Excellence at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls
👉 Research: Investing $100,000 in equipment and graduate programs at the Center for Dairy Research
