It’s been awhile since I e posted because well, life.. but I recently been trying to get in to gold and silver recovery from electronics. A bunch of stuff I e had collected for awhile but the stuff in the bed of my truck was from one salvage yesterday from a job site in Baltimore! Gotta say, I’m pretty damn excited!! Now to break it all down once I get my shed cleaned up and then on to the process! I hope I can get some followers and people to help me learn more on the process! Thank you all who have been following and I will be sure to continue posting my journey when possible.. I have a 2 year old so you parents can understand I’m sure! Thanks again!

Last year after 14 years in the tower industry I (my wife) made me get out being that we at the time had a one year old being that it was a dangerous job. I left to go work for a buddy’s scrap yard in Hagerstown, Md. because I made less money we began to find it hard to catch up on bills even with scrapping on the side. After a year I decided along with my wife that I get back to tower work and I must say. Scrap yard work is pretty damn tiring and not for the weak! Especially at a small high volume processing scrap yard with just 2 employees plus our husband and wife boss who also worked. I came home tired AF! Though I also enjoyed it and enjoyed who I worked with as we all had a strange sense of humors and personalities I am happy to be up in the air at 500+ feet again! I give props to the dudes who has done processing scrap work for years especially having to help unload trucks, sort, process, cleanup, etc! Especially having to dump hundreds of nasty ass cans and cat food cans! 🤣😂

Put new tires on my trailer today… tonight after stacking up some office cubicle dividers my girlfriend asked “what’s that smell?” I said “smells like rubber” I get out and check to find this!! 😡😡🤬🤬 can only be mad at myself for not checking.. 😂🤣 wire ain’t showing so ima keep on trucking with them on..

Finally stopped procrastinating and got the X-Ray table off the trailer and in to the scrap shed to be processed.. I need to organize again and make room in here for when I get big equipment to process so I’m out of the elements. I thought of an idea for all my totes. Gonna build a wooden shelf system so they are all vertical rather than on the ground, freeing up much more needed space. I would like to be able to back my small trailer inside so there’s no need to unload. It’ll all get there sooner or later! 😂🤣

Time to take out the trash, sort and seperate through all my totes and get the scrap shed back in order. But first.. PROSPECTING FOR SCRAP NIGHT! I’ll hit it hard in the morning! (Yea.. ok! 🤣😂) procrastination sucks! 🤣

Tip No. 3 RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!!! If you do t know what it is, research it before you scrap it! It could bring you a good chunk of money rather than a couple bucks..

Wish I’ve done my research before processing and scrapping the last 4-5 of these damn things!! 😂🤬 live and learn..

What a night for scrapping! My only intention was to grab the family go and meet up with a guy who messaged me had a bowl of aluminum wire weigh about 50 to 60 pounds and go out to eat Being that we wouldn’t have time to cook dinner. On the way to meeting the guy stopped at the dumpster. I normally stop it. Sometimes I got a mini fridge and then on the way home after eating I’ll stop at a couple more spots got more aluminum wire to THHN and some Romax, as well as a bunch of communication wire. A whole box was thrown out into the dumpster! Crazy the waste these construction companies throw away! Also got three components with that heating element wire I informed everybody about. And growing my collection of it pretty well. I also found a sink with breast fitting on the side of the road also. May not be able to see everything in the pictures but lights like this won’t make it all worth scrapping there’s nights that you don’t even mean to collect a bunch of stuff or the nice you sometimes find the most stuff.
