Doing the initial boundary surveying work this year for this endeavor was absolutely some of the worst working conditions my tired old grouchy butt has ever experienced..well maybe the worst since I became tired old & grouchy, but still

A $6.5 million expansion project meant to alleviate congestion and increase efficiency at Osceola Harbor is one step closer to reality after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Memphis District released a tentative construction plan for the project on Wednesday.

Today’s office: Honored to assist Daniel Phillips - Arkansas State Surveyor & Scott Foster - Arkansas Surveying & Consulting with setting a commemorative survey cap in the base of a 3.5 ton granite monument at the reestablished location of the initial point of the 1815 Survey of the lands of the Louisiana Purchase. Located about 900’ out in a thigh deep cypress swamp about 20 miles west of Barton, AR. What a great day to be a surveyor!!

Today's office: Reestablishing the original boundaries of the historic Nodena Plantation in SE Mississippi County, AR... The location of Dr. Hampson's archaeological site. What a great job, researching & retracing the history of the same lands known to have been walked on by the REAL first settlers of this continent. It's well worth a Google search, especially if you're from MissCo like me..
