As we set out to celebrate our Moms this weekend, we want to share these words from writer, Lori Ann King. She says it so well.

"When we celebrate moms, let us also remember the bereaved,
the lonely,
the scared,
the heartbroken,
the single parent,
the new mom,
and the mom who looks like she has it all together.
Remember the woman who wants to adopt.
The woman who is trying desperately to get pregnant.
And those who want to but cannot get pregnant.
Remember those who have lost a child or lost their mom.
Or never knew their mom.

Let us remember that If it takes a village to raise a child, then there are many ways we can support and “mother” all children.

We don’t have to bear a child to love a child.

We can mother others.

You are not alone."

P·O·E continues to introduce our new members who have joined us over the last year (we grew so fast, we got a little bit behind).

Today, we are introducing Marisol Hernandez, who is one of our Senior Designers. Marisol grew up in a small town in Mexico, San Jose Casas Caidas, and she holds an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design from STLCC.

P·O·E’s growth mindset and professional development make Marisol excited to be a Member, and she loves working on a team that challenges her to be a better designer and gives her a sense of accomplishment.

Marisol’s favorite thing about St. Louis is our beautiful city parks – especially Tower Grove Park with their festivals and farmers’ markets. She is passionate about History and current events and how they are inevitably intertwined. She spends a good portion of her free time consuming books and podcasts on these subjects.

We have seen Marisol grow so much in her career already and are excited to see her continue to develop into a wonderful designer. Welcome!!

We are excited to announce several new members in the coming days. P·O·E is excited to be growing and adding amazing people to our team.

We start with Jake Genthon, a Senior Project Coordinator. Jake is born and raised in St. Louis, MO and has a degree from UMKC in graphic design.

He is excited about being a member at P·O·E for the company culture, room for growth, and solving complex orders – which he is really good at!

His favorite thing about St. Louis is Imos Pizza, and in his free time, he loves being a Dad to his two sons.

Their team name is 4•1•7 Interiors, so when you see their name in posts, you will know it's our Springfield team. Please follow along as P•O•E continues to grow and serve the beautiful Ozark region!

P•O•E Members love our Earth. From community trash clean-ups, running through St. Louis parks, Gardening, removing invasive plants, placing bird houses, or just appreciating the miracle of nature, we care about making our planet a better place to live.

The things we are capable of doing as individuals may seem small, but a lot of small things add up to make a difference. Wishing you a happy Earth Day today and everyday!

Later today, Artemis ii will reach its peak distance from Earth at 252,760 miles. This is the farthest any humans have ever travelled into space.

This morning, as P•O•E reflected on the ineffable accomplishments of our fellow humans, we joked about how the future lunar research stations will need furniture. It may seem like a far-fetched idea, but in reality, we should be thinking about and preparing for the future.

P•O•E has always looked to new horizons, embraced the latest research, and pushed boundaries of what is possible in our industry. It's right there in our logo.

While most of us will never go to space or work on the technology that gets us there, we all have important roles here on Earth, working to make our lives better here, whether it's for our Members, our partners, or our clients.
