Over the years, we’ve shared many of the different projects we’ve had the privilege of working on.

By the nature of demolition and abatement, once we clear the way for the general contractor, our job is usually done—and we rarely get to see the finished product. Much of our work involves tenant improvements in high-rises, business parks, retail spaces, medical facilities, restaurants, and more. We prepare the space, then turn it over to the GC.

Today’s post takes us back to January 2025, when Wrecking Ball cleared a space for a new restaurant and café patio at a premier Pacific Northwest shopping center. So, why are we talking about it in August 2026?

The writer of this post is taking a little creative liberty because I recently had the pleasure of dining at the finished restaurant. In fact, the spot marked with the yellow X in the photo is exactly where we were seated!

It was rewarding to see the transformation firsthand—from Wrecking Ball clearing the way to the impressive work that followed by the GC, subcontractors, architects, designers, and tradespeople. The result is a beautiful restaurant and dining space. And I might add that the food and service were excellent!

While we’re not sharing any “after” photos, this post offers a rare glimpse into what became of a space after our work was complete.

Curious where it is? Email us at [email protected], and we’ll gladly share the name and location.

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, Wrecking Ball stands ready for your demolition and abatement projects—Cleaner. Safer. Faster.

The Northwest Organization for Animal Help (The NOAH Center) is in the midst of a major improvement campaign, and Wrecking Ball was proud to be part of the project.

General Contractor J.M. Riley Company is leading the effort, with Wrecking Ball handling the demolition work.

Part of the improvement campaign involves repurposing the center’s clinic space to create improved facilities for caring for the cats and dogs who need them most.

Wrecking Ball removed exterior siding, interior walls down to the studs, and multiple concrete surfaces surrounding the former clinic. We also took special care to ensure the Friendship Wall remained fully intact throughout the demolition.

The NOAH Center is a nonprofit animal adoption center and spay & neuter clinic in Stanwood, Washington, dedicated to helping end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable, and treatable homeless cats and dogs.

Want to learn more about The NOAH Center, make a donation, or adopt a pet? Visit https://www.thenoahcenter.org/ and help support their mission of giving homeless animals a second chance.

The weather was very cooperative recently for our concrete cutting division, which took its skills up into the sky!

We were tasked with removing an 88-foot spire from the top of a house of worship to make way for new roofing. This was NOT a job for anyone with a fear of heights.

Jesse Murphy, Jordan Hansen, and John Brotherton—better known in this instance as “the 3 J’s”—worked as a team to carefully remove the spire in sections, taking great care not to damage the structure directly below them.

This project is another great example of the wide variety of jobs we get called in to handle. From high-rises—or, in this case, the very tip of a spire—to decommissioned marine vessels and everything in between, we’ve got you covered.

We’ll leave your site clean and safe, and we’ll get the job done expeditiously.

Summertime is one of the busiest seasons for demolition in the Pacific Northwest, especially in the education sector. With many schools closed for several weeks or months, summer provides an ideal opportunity to complete projects that would be difficult during the school year.

Wrecking Ball is working throughout Washington State and Northern Idaho with K–12 and higher education institutions, handling exterior, interior, and full-scope demolition projects.

We recently completed a project at a faith-based primary school gymnasium, removing outdated ceiling tiles and insulation to provide access for mechanical upgrades. Our team completed the work quickly, safely, and cost-effectively, responsibly transported the waste, and left the space clean for the next phase of construction.

By fall, students, staff, families, and friends will enjoy a beautifully renovated gymnasium built to serve the school community for years to come.

Keep Wrecking Ball in mind for your next demolition, abatement, or concrete-cutting project. From complete structural demolition to specialized interior work, we've got you covered. Call 425-339-3111 or email [email protected].
