Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week’s BCYP Lunch Social at The Shed and helped support New Hope Children’s Advocacy Center.

Together, we collected $335 in monetary donations and 24 requested clothing items for New Hope Children's Advocacy Center. We’re grateful to everyone who gave and helped make the afternoon count.

A special thank you to Pete Carter for generously donating two tickets to the Hearing & Speech Foundation’s Ultimate Tailgate on September 12. Congratulations to our winner, Abby Cheslock!

Last week, we kicked off the Blount County Young Professionals Ignite the Future Mentorship Program over coffee at Vienna Coffee House!

Mentors and mentees had the chance to meet, get to know each other and start setting goals for the months ahead. We’re excited to see these connections grow as participants learn from one another and invest in their personal and professional development.

Q: What’s your favorite BCYP event that you have attended?
A: Keep Blount Beautiful volunteer cleanups, and Habitat for Humanity home build

Q: What draws you to Blount County? What aspects of the area do you find most appealing, or what keeps you engaged and connected with it?
A: Blount county is home! Our extended families live in the area, and we've settled into the slower pace of life living closer to than mountains that the hustle and bustle of Knoxville. The community is smaller, adding the capability for close relationships and small town feel. Seeing the area grow while retaining its small town focus is exiting!

Q: Where are we most likely to find you in Blount County?
A: Anywhere that allows dogs! You can find us on a patio somewhere, enjoying dinner or a drink with our 2 dogs (Rosie, 5 month old Giant Schnauzer and Rusty, 9 yr old Aussiedoodle). I can also be found on the greenway or at Orange Theory!
