One thing I have been insecure about for years is the hyperpigmentation that shows up on both sides of my face especially in the summer.

For a long time, I noticed it more than anyone else did. I wondered if people were looking at it. I tried to hide it. I wished it wasn't there.

But lately, I have been learning something important: I don't have to wait until everything about me is "perfect" to feel confident.

Do I love it every single day" Not always.

But I am learning to own it. I am learning to be kinder to myself. I am learning that my worth isn't determined by the things I wish I could change.

And if one day I decide to wear foundation, that's okay too. Not because I am hiding , but because it's my choice.

Growth is not always about changing yourself. Sometimes it's about accepting yourself.
