Command Holdings, a Pequot Company

10/12/2026

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian peoples.

It is a day to recognize the resilience of Indigenous communities, celebrate their leadership and achievements, and acknowledge the generations of knowledge, strength, and perseverance that continue to shape our nation.

Owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, Command Holdings holds a belief in building opportunity, strengthening communities, and honoring the wisdom of past generations while creating a lasting legacy for the next seven generations.

Today and every day, we celebrate Indigenous peoples and the enduring impact they have on our communities, our country, and our future.

At BizConn Alliance 2026, the theme "From Challenge to Change" was a call to bring people together, embrace different perspectives, and turn challenges in today’s federal marketplace into opportunities for growth.

U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach, Senator Richard Blumenthal, NFL Football player Shíyazh Pete, SBA’s John Klein, GSA’s Julie Ramey (Potter), U.S. Army’s Pamela Callicutt, Seven Generation Award Winner Chief Lynn Malerba, North Star Award Winner Fatima Abbas, and Tonya Alston gave us ideas to inspire us to grow.

Progress happens when we recognize that our differences are a strength and that we all have something to learn from one another. That is how we turn challenge into change.

Special thanks to the Yootay Singers, Chairman Rodney Butler, Board Chairwoman Angelina Casanova (she/her), Board Member Richard Sebastian, Board Member Bryan Small, Board Member Bryan Hayes, Bruce Eatroff, Councilor Michele Scott, Dr. Setu Vora, Jason Guyot, Anika Howard, Jean Swift, Chris Ch***pa, and Philip Minichino.

We also want to convey our immense gratitude to our sponsors and industry partners. From great food and memorable experiences to exceptional panels and thought provoking insights, their contributions made BizConn Alliance an outstanding experience for all!

Former U.S. Treasurer and Mohegan Chief Lynn Malerba will receive the Seven Generation Award at BizConn Alliance 2026.

Rooted in the traditional principle that decisions made today can impact the next seven generations, the award recognizes leaders who use their influence to open doors, build opportunity and leave a meaningful legacy for those who follow.

Malerba made history as the first Native American to serve as Treasurer of the United States, a position she held from 2022 to 2024. As Treasurer, she brought a Tribal perspective to the U.S. Department of the Treasury and became a national voice for Native economic development and investment.

Congratulations to Lynn!!

Twenty-five years ago, September 11, 2001, changed our nation forever.
Today, we pause to remember the people who lost their lives and the first responders who ran toward danger.
At Command Holdings, our work supporting the federal government carries a deep sense of purpose. Every day, our team members contribute to missions that strengthen our nation, support those who serve, and help build a stronger future for generations to come.
