What do I do when I’m not working?

More work, of course!

You might not know this but I have ✨two✨ businesses- Phoenix Rise Consulting and The Wicked Stitch.

When I’m not being all technical and detailed, I’m tapping into my more creative side to complete custom crochet orders.

God forbid I actually let myself relax for once. 😳

I had the pleasure of attending (and sponsoring) the first North Iowa Marketing Summit!

This was such a great experience and can’t even begin to describe how impactful and beneficial it was. Not only did we learn more about good marketing techniques, we also learned what will send us “straight to jail”. 😂

I’ve done many hard things over the years but making and acting on this particular decision, and seeing it through to the very end, was by far one of the most hardest things I’ve ever had to do.

I knew that it was a possibility, and had time to process it before actually having to have done it, but it still sucked.

We had just gotten back from South Dakota. It was like, 5/6pm, and my beloved Kitty was clearly not right. Just a few hours later, we were at the vet clinic having to put him down. I felt so bad for have not spending his last week with him. I often feel that because we were gone, his condition deteriorated quicker.

Everyone has their own definition of what hardness is - a physical challenge, a mental challenge, emotional, etc.

What’s difficult for one person, may be easy to the next, but that doesn’t make it any less hard.

Day 2 of answering a card prompt.

Something that has brought me the most joy was our first family vacation to South Dakota.

Not only did we see beautiful scenery and visit national monuments, but also got to experience the magic of witnessing my daughter’s personality (mostly sarcasm and perfect comedic timing) start to blossom. 😂😂

Me: There’s so many hills!

Daughter: *unenthusiastically without looking up* Huh. Guess that’s why they call it “Hill City”.

🤦🏼‍♀️ I wasn’t even mad.
