Bruewer is a forensic scientist specializing in the examination of physical evidence and testing evidence for the presence of body fluids that can yield DNA samples for analysis. She worked for a number of years at the Indiana State Police Crime Laboratory and provided training to law enforcement officers across the country on DNA analysis.
