Mason, Texas...DIG IT!
Frank Roberts, owner of Baringer Hill Minerals has just announced two mineral dig dates at his Emeral Ridge prospect in Mason County. These are the best opportunities curently available to hunt for Topaz and many other minerals, including the site's namesake green flourite. Bring all your own digging and sifting equipment, sun protetction, food, and drink. Frank is very knowledgable and will help you ID your finds.

Meet at 8am on the Mason Square to sign in and pay.
$50 per digger
Depart via caravan at 8:30am sharp!
There will be no one to wait for stragglers and cell service is non-existent at the dig site. If you miss the caravan you miss the dig.

When In Mason, Texas. Carve out some time to hang out at James River Icehouse. Located just 6 miles south of Mason on Farm Road 2389 on a prestine property where the James River Feeds into the Llano River. Enjoy fantastic food & beverages. Swim or Kayak with the family on one of the best stretches of River in Mason County. You can also make it a stop on your way to the Eckert James River Bat Cave Preserve and watch the Bats Fly out of the Cave in the evening at one of the countries largest bat caves.
