Garlic is out of the ground! 5 hours yesterday and 3 1/2 hours today with both days starting at 6am. Jay, Gary, Kaitlyn, Nate and myself in the field yesterday, while Dad and Jeff (my brother) put it on the racks for drying.

We estimate roughly 1400lbs of garlic this year! The bulbs are really nice and very consistent in size. We will have some this weekend at markets stop by and see us!

Don’t forget tomorrow is market day in Kingwood! Nate and Mickey will be at the McGrew house from 9am to 11am, they’ll have all the bread and goodies Dad could ever want! Stop by and get some treats for Father’s Day! Bread, cookies, cakes, pepperoni rolls, and more.

Hello facebook friends!

My post is a bit late this year but here we go!

We are taking orders for green beans, shell beans, and sweet corn for the year. These will be the ONLY three items that we will offer as bushels.

Please send a private message on the business page with your name, phone number, and amount for items needed. If you have questions please send a private message as well......I WILL NOT answer questions in the comments.

Green beans will be which ever variety is ready at the time when I call for bushels, we do not give a choice. We will (hopefully) have tenderetts, prevails (great canning bean) and possibly bluelakes.

Prices will be as follows:
GREEN BEANS or SHELL BEANS (HORTICULTURE BEANS)$38.00 A BUSHEL OR 4 FOR $130.00

SWEET CORN $30.00

The garlic scapes are here!!!! Those yummy mild tasting garlicky goodness scapes will be at market this weekend!!!! We have 16 1/2 rows of garlic growing in this field and every stalk of garlic shoots up a scape. That equals 265,473,752 scapes….oh wait that’s only the way it felt once we were picking them all by hand! See you this weekend!!!
