Last night your Massena Firefighters held their annual drill. Veterans and rookies alike trained our on air obstacle course, and practiced establishing water with good hydrant practices. We had a great turnout, and got some good training in. Please make sure you are having good fire prevention conversations with our youths, and our elderly as well.

Day one of Fire Prevention week saw our firefighters and their families attending a memorial mass for our deceased members. Following mass we hosted our annual breakfast for our coloring contest winners, and this year’s Fire queen.
Tradition runs deep with Massena Fire, and educating our youth on the importance of fire preparedness is one of our biggest. Look for us in the schools these next few days speaking with kids about fire prevention week!
