To Be Found Faithful September 9, 2026

What does faithfulness look like in your life situation today? The Lord has given you another day to live and placed you in circumstances where you can influence those around you. He invites you to draw deeply of His Spirit as you make your way through each minute. Who or what has He entrusted you with? Will you determine even now to be faithful?

This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.—1 Corinthians 4:1-2

Prayer: Lord, I want to be found faithful. Wherever this day takes me, I want to go as the servant of Christ, with an awareness of my opportunity and responsibility to faithfully represent and serve You. In the name of the one who was found faithful to the end I pray, Amen.

Life-Impacting Influence September 7, 2026

Whose influence has had the most profound impact in your life? Whose names come to mind? What did these people do that made such an impact on you? Was their influence positive or negative? What can you emulate in their example? What do you need to learn? What are you passing on to others?

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.—1 Timothy 4:12

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life, those from whom I have learned what it means to live, love, and lead like Jesus. I realize that I am called to pass on what they have taught me, and so I also thank You for those whom You have given me to influence. May I be an example they can follow. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Asking for Help September 4, 2026

When life’s events challenge our ability to lead like Jesus, times of solitude and dialogue with God become increasingly important. Above the wind and storm, we are able to reflect on the unchanging realities of life and gain an eternal spiritual perspective on events and people, including our own role and responsibilities. The Spirit wants to use these times to renew our strength, realign our perspective, and refresh our hearts. Will you let Him do this for you?

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.—Psalm 8:1

Prayer: O Spirit of the living God, breathe life and hope and strength into me as I draw apart to spend time with You. Reveal Your majesty! Renew, refresh, and realign my perspective; let me see life as You see it. May I reflect You wherever You send me today. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Leading Like Jesus September 2, 2026

When the topic of authority, position and leadership came up among Jesus’ disciples, He quickly addressed it. He knew that they were being influenced by the world’s view of leadership, and that it was causing division instead of unity among them. What results are you seeing from your leadership perspective? How does your leadership point-of-view align with His?

When he was in the house, he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest. Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”—Mark 9:33-35

Prayer: Jesus, I am ready to learn from You. I need Your perspective on life and leadership. Thank You for exposing my pride and correcting me when I need it. I want to be like You. I pray in Your name, Amen.

Jesus is for You August 31, 2026

What difference does it make to know that Jesus is for you? To know that He wants you to succeed in what He has called you to do even more than you do? How you use your leadership roles and opportunities matter to Him and to eternity. Look to Him today. He cares. He is for you. He will lead you forward.

[Righteous Father,] I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.—John 17:26

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for not leaving me alone to do what You have called me to do. Thank You for being for me, for praying for me, for being here with me as I move into this day, for empowering me through Your Spirit. What a difference You make in my life! Today, I live, lead, and pray in Your name, Amen.

How Do They Know? August 28, 2026

How do other people know that you have been with Jesus? How will they know the difference Jesus wants to make in their lives if they can’t see the difference He is making in your life? The work Jesus is doing in your life needs to become visible, so that others can catch the vision of leading like Jesus. The world is waiting to see the message of Jesus brought to life. Who will see and hear His message through you today?

As you go, proclaim this message: “The kingdom of heaven has come near.”—Matthew 10:7

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for sending people who lived and proclaimed a new way of living and leading to me. May this good news, that there is a different way, a life-giving way of living and leading, take root in my heart and mind, and flow out through my actions, attitudes and words. I pray in Your name, Amen.

Heart Check: Comparison August 26, 2026

Who are you tempted to compare yourself to? Comparison sneaks into our perspective subtly, quietly. One minute we’re compassionate and understanding, and the next minute we’re glad that we’re not the ones needing help. Pride slips in, and we find ourselves judging others instead of supporting and encouraging them. To lead like Jesus is to gratefully and freely be justified by grace alone, and to offer that grace to others. Who will experience grace through you today?

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.—Romans 3:23-24

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for redeeming us and justifying us freely by Your grace. Stop me short when I get my eyes off of my own need for grace and begin to compare myself with others. May I offer grace instead of judgment today, I pray in Your name, Amen.

Fresh Energy August 24, 2026

Where do you need fresh energy and renewed hope? Where do you feel like you’ve given your all and you have nothing left to give? Perhaps you’ve poured yourself into someone else, and you don’t know how else to help them. God holds out His hand to those who need His touch. Will you take it today?

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.—Isaiah 40:29-31

Prayer: Oh Lord, I need You today. I need You every day. You give me the strength to rise again. I draw strength from Your Spirit, and from Your Word. I am renewed by hope in You, and I move forward in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fanning the Flame August 21, 2026

What are you doing to encourage the transformational work Jesus wants to do in and through others? People long to know that God has a purpose for them. They want to make a difference. They long to know that their lives count. Living for Jesus invests life with eternal purpose. Who are you encouraging to live for God?

When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers and sisters encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed.—Acts 18:27

Prayer: Lord, You call all of us to be servant leaders. Your specific call for others may or may not align with my own, yet all of us need to be obedient to serve where, when and how You direct us. Help me to be a supporter and an encourager to others today. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Exalting God Only August 19, 2026

All that we have and are comes from God. Our natural abilities, our opportunities, all our spiritual blessings and power, any insight we possess, our salvation, life and breath itself. Everything that we have is a gift from God. Daniel knew this well, and he was quick to give glory to God privately and publicly. As a result, God’s name was exalted by a foreign king. How will you give God glory today?

The king said to Daniel, “Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery.”—Daniel 2:47

Prayer: God, may my life and witness always point to You. You are the source of every good gift. Every talent I have comes from You. Please use me today to reveal Your greatness to those around me. May Your name be lifted up and exalted. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
