Today, July 7th marks the 1st birthday for Enjoy Zest 🎂 1 year of gathering friends and families, lighting candles, ironing napkins and setting tables, chopping, boiling and sautéing, laughing, crying and working long days. It’s been a weird, learn on the fly, crazy, bizarre and wild ride so far. And I’m loving every inch of it, yes, even the really uncomfortable parts, too. This last year gave me the space to get to know myself, my work ethic, my creativity and my personality better than I ever have in all 28 years of my existence. I’ve failed, I’ve conquered, I’ve learned, and I’ve grown. And guess what? There is still oh so much more ahead, folks ✨
Here I am, a year ago at my first ever private dinner party with 2 strawberry custard tarts. I was so proud in this moment. All of the food I cooked that evening came out like I planned (and worried a whole lot about), it was hot and I was sweaty, and my bangs were sticking to my forehead but I didn’t even think or care to think about it. Because I was in my element, doing what I love, and I couldn’t even believe it 💛
