The BEST way for a writer to attract more customers is to make sure all posts are thoroughly proofread and grammatically correct before posting! I would NEVER post anything that had an obvious mistake in it.

Ooof.

This was once shared by author Alexandra Penfold along with the following message...

“This weekend I sorted through some papers my mom saved from my childhood. The top one is my 4th grade self evaluation. The bottom, my 4th grade state test score. Random House published my 6th book last week. ”

I understand the purpose of state tests, but they should NEVER be used to predict or define a person's capabilities or how much they can achieve in life.

As an autistic person, I do NOT do well on multiple choice exams. And that is not even remotely a reflection of my capabilities.

This image is such a powerful reminder that we are more than what others think of us... and we are far more than what standardized testing tells us we are capable of. ESPECIALLY when it comes to neurodivergent brain wiring.
